"Yet" does not imply up and coming, only the that it has not happened to this point but is possible in the future. But simply being possible does not mean that it must happen eventually. "Impending" would be something that has not happened yet but most probably will happen in the future. I don't think we can say anything will happen in the future with absolute 100% probability. | |||
