Interesting angle. Pretend you don't have an issue and subsequently receive no diagnosis or treatment, in order to avoid the potential of someday being denied for insurance which would leave you unable to... receive a diagnosis and treatment for the issue you have.

Years ago, I heard of an ugly divorce case in which one party tried to gain access to the other's grocery store loyalty cards in order to prove (imply?) he or she was alcoholic. Dunno if it's true or not, but it's sorta plausible.
