The Detroit Lions refused to practice over the Blake shooting the other day. Not like it was going to do them any good.

Nice to see professional teams taking action without a shred of fact or evidence.

Good Bye.... so long. Who cares!

The owners should terminate all of their contracts, on the spot. Employees using their business for political reasons. Good Bye!

The Lions practice?

That team was a joke long before the NFL went un-American. Now they're just piling on more joke.

These players/coaches/team personnel really do live in a bubble. I guess they think the world will stop if they don't play, and somehow we will beg for them to return. They SHOULD have been disabused of that notion during the Wu Flu lockdowns. Everyone managed to get along fine without them then, and we will do so now too. We'll find other things to entertain us. They need us far more than we need them.

It's not even clear to me what has to happen in order for them to end the boycott and "return to work". I don't think they know themselves as it's all just another temper tantrum for attention.

One of these players- I don't know who and don't care- was online this evening saying "This has gotta stop!"

OK, what, exactly, has to stop? You don't really expect the police to just go away, do you? "This" is not going to stop, because some people refuse to cooperate with the police. They refuse to obey police commands. Because of people like you, mister way-the-fuck-overpaid widdle basketball player, who are encouraging these police haters, "this" is not only not going to stop, it's going to become more frequent. So, what are you going to do? Are you going to cease playing your stupid kid's game altogether, forever? What are you going to do? You think not dribbling your little ball is going to change society? You think way, way too much of your influence. You're just not important.

This is just plain stupid. The NBA is not going to be able to pay your obscene salary if you no longer play, genius. Oddly enough, I don't feel punished in any way by your refusal to fulfill the provisions of your contract.

Don't forget, though- car washes will always need rag men, and go fuck yourself.

Ok. Cool story. If not for this thread I would have never known.

If.the virus scare taught me anything, it is that I can exist just fine without professional sports on TV.

If only we could stop using TAX money for arenas Coliseums, and stadiums.

Las Vegas: How's that $750 million in TAX MONEY for the Raiders new stadium working out for ya?

Oh, this is an NBA thread. Well, taxpayers paid $194 Million for Atlanta's Arena, $89 Million for OKC's Arena, $250 Million in Memphis, $169 Million in San Antonio, and the list goes on....

Teams should pay for their own damn stadiums and Arenas.

Someone told me that if not for the NBA, America would have the tallest sanitation workers in the world.

Looks like we are going to need a bigger trash truck.

There was a time when I eagerly looked forward to sports seasons, stock car, all of it.

Over-paid & over-indulged MLB, NBA, NFL, NASCAR and other organized leagues who follow their Marxist behavior......enjoy your future loss of income.
