IIRC, the butter substitute "spread" called Country Crock was once Shedd's Country Crock. Or possibly Shedd's Spread.

Shedd's Spread. Mom tried it once. Dad through it in the garbage. He said, "We can afford real butter. This crap tastes like dirty socks."

I couldn't stop laughing. Mom got pissed.
