So, we were listening to Rush Limbaugh, and there was a commercial for "Freedom Checks." Basically, you send them money, and they will return your investment at rates up to 8000%. You sit at home, doing nothing, and just collect $20K, $50K, $100K checks, and more!!!! EASY MONEY!!!!! WOOOOOO>>>>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!! I did some Googling, and apparently this is an energy investment in some kind of fund that has to return 90% of its profits back to investors. My wife thinks this is the greatest thing in the world. I hold the view that "A sucker is born every minute" and "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is," among others. Is there some web site or other resource I can show her to prove to her that this is a bogus concept? Otherwise, I'm the bad guy for not wanting to collect thousands of free money every month. . . If it made you money, would you advertise that on the radio? If you struck gold down in yonder crick, would you tell your neighbors? This is in the category of Trade like Chuck. ************* MAGA

Radio ads have been playing locally for the last couple months. I've been interested to find out more about them, but never seem to remember to do any research on them. A few observations about the radio commercials. The first, and longest playing ad, uses an announcer with a heavy Southern twang and verbage...my take is that they are targeting blue collar customers. The second, more recent, ad states that "this is not a government program" and was better than a government program. I'd guess that they must have received enough questions about this to clarify it in their later commercial. Lastly, the commercials state that you must have your paperwork completed by March 1st. Seems a bit odd to me.

what is it they say? Is it if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is? “Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.” ― Ronald Reagan Retired old fart

Sounds like an elaborate ponzi scheme. Has there been any type of inquiry into its legitimacy? _____________________________ "The problems we face today exist because the people who work for a living are outnumbered by those who vote for a living." The 'deadline' brings with it a sense of urgency. Hurry up, don't think, just act before it's too late. I wouldn't give them a single dollar; but I'm trying to get a legitimate source to show the Mrs that it's a scam.. Fear God and Dread Nought Admiral of the Fleet Sir Jacky Fisher

I wonder how the avoid Blue Sky law (securities regulation) violations? No way it is what they say it is. No research is needed to know that. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.
