Lastly, the commercials state that you must have your paperwork completed by March 1st. Seems a bit odd to me.

The 'deadline' brings with it a sense of urgency. Hurry up, don't think, just act before it's too late.

I wouldn't give them a single dollar; but I'm trying to get a legitimate source to show the Mrs that it's a scam..

I just heard the most recent iteration of the radio commercial. The magical deadline date is now April 1st...hmmm, April Fools Day no less! Big Grin

That’s how I purchased Montana. Freedom Checks. I got in early, but’s worth a shot.

The radio ads about making a million dollars in three years by buying (investing in) two condos in Baja, Mexico are the ones that get me.

The most violent territory/state in Mexico at present.

It's already been touched on. If they were making money on it, they wouldn't be advertising it.

What he is pumping is master limited partnerships in oil and natural gas operations. These are typically partnership interests that are traded on some obscure exchange. There is likely very little transparency about what these MLPs actually invest in and no secondary market to sell these shares if you want to get out. So you are stuck owning something that you have no idea what it actually is. The idea that you are gaining your financial "freedom" by investing in this is just scammy talk aimed at all the types that are also easy marks for the precious metals ads.

When I listen very carefully to those ads I swear i hear the faint strains of "Dueling Banjos" in the background.

Don't "end" up like Ned Beatty!

Their website is reassuring.

The site itself is one page with a video and links to social media. Pretty shady looking. I haven't heard the radio commercials, but the video is full of vague statements and cheese. It has the feel of other scams that prey on people who have limited mental capacity.

They are recruiting for guest appearances on “American Greed.”

Ideally, you would be an older couple, preferably at least one of you with a debilitating health problem, who mortgaged a previously free and clear home and invested all their life savings and the mortgage proceeds, and now lives is a tiny walk up two room on social security.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Unfortunately I do not think you are going to find anything showing they are a scam until they end up being busted for running a scam. I had never heard of them until this thread so I went to their website. The fact the website is just a long list of just all this guaranteed money being made screams scam. Also the fact you can’t get any specific information about their investing without paying $47 screams scam. They say the are not affiliated with the government, yet they show the checks on US Treasury checks. Then they show examples of the checks made out to people and the routing number on those checks is only 8 digits when a routing number is 9 digits. Add an extra zero to the routing number they show, and it comes back to the US Department of Treasury. Scam all the way around.

If you scroll down a little further it also says "I'm not racist, I have a black friend."

I have no clue what this company/ad is. Common sense will tell you, if it could beat the market wall street would have bought all of it. I glad they told us it's not a scam, I feel all warm and cozy now.

There are two basic rule of investment analysis:

1) Assume everything you don't understand inside and out is a scam, until proven differently.

2) Only investment opportunities proven not to be scams are worth the bother of detailed analysis.
