Armadillos like peas. Dig a hole. Fill it with ashes. Place a line of peas around the hole. When the 'dillo comes to take a pea, kick it in the ash hole. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

My Dad had a lot of fun with a really good pellet gun zapping those Iguanas when he was in the Ft. Lauderdale area. I'm assuming that a good Beeman or any other high-end (higher velocity) pellet gun and quality pellets would make for a fun afternoon. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot. If you can figure out where they are digging one of their burrows you can trap them. I found a hole behind my air conditioning unit next to my house last Fall. I would fill the hole back in with dirt and like clockwork, I would find the hole dug back out three days later. This went on for weeks before I purchased a Havahart model 1045SR two door trap. I placed the trap on the path to the burrow and caught an armadillo three days later. From what I understand you can’t bait these pests, you have to guide them into the trap. I’m not sure how many I have around, but I’ve trapped two of them so far using this technique. https://imgur.com/8zSYcaJ https://imgur.com/wz7RDJn https://imgur.com/XehUCJ7

Thank you Very little |
Not as much fun as small nuke devices, or installing traps, plus it takes away your excuse to the wife for buying a new suppressor, but, it works..... Link

Not just Texas anymore. I drove from Illinois to Tennessee on Sunday and if I said I saw 100 dead armadillos on the road I was probably light. The turkey vultures seem to think they are tasty that’s for sure.

I'd never actually do it, because with my luck it would spread disease and create the next pandemic, not to mention it's probably somehow illegal...but I've always thought it would be really funny to scoop one of those up off the side of the road down south, throw it in the back of the truck, and drop it off on the side of the road up here in Northern Indiana, just to screw with our local DNR guys. They love getting those kinds of calls .
