I've been going to PR for the last 22 years. It's a lot of fun and a lot of nice things to see and do. However, the crime has gotten pretty bad over the last 5-7 years and you really have to watch your 6. It never used to be that way. What made it fun was that it wasn't a state....had things the US didn't allow.....bordello's....cock fighting....things of that nature.....They REALLY need to get their debt in order and the socialists have ruined the island.

And give us 2 more democrat Senators. No thanks.

Get their books back in the black. Show they contribute more to the coffers than they suck from them. Embrace English (I've know may folks from the island that could not speak a word of it). Show they want more than an EBT card and uncle sugar to make their lives easy. THEN, maybe we can talk.

The previous administration would have welcomed them in with all those new congress people and senators. That is good enough reason to keep them out for now.

We do not need a state that officially has a different language from English. (Yes, I know that the US does not have English as its national language, but it should have.) We are de facto an English-speaking country (except for the Illegals, of course).

Neither here nor there politically. Many years ago I worked in the military with quite a few Puerto Ricans, mostly via New York though I think. Even worked for some. Maybe cherry picked, but as a group, they were passionate professionals who you'd want on the team when SHTF. Many paid their dues.
