I don’t know about all of you, but I have been throughly enjoying my Olight flashlights after I discovered them not too awful long ago. I have some Surefires, Fenix, Four Sevens, Nitcore, Streamlight, etc. lights and they are all great, but holy cow these Olights are awesome. They have a very clever marketing strategy and are always offering deals, which is smart business, especially because their lights are excellent. I have a handful of various models from the M1T raider, to the Valkyrie PL-2 QD weapon lights, and some in between including a few of their special editions in FDE, green, and now a red S1R Baton 2. I am not some resident authority on lights, but I have enough to feel like I can tell good quality when I see it and these are very well put together, especially considering they are priced very well. The interface is very intuitive and the components are well finished, with beautiful milling and design. I like that they have some clever magnetic charging methods that is an nice departure from the micro USB. The packaging (though some would say who cares) is excellent and clean, well thought out. Kinda reminds me of how Apple packages their products. It’s just a nice touch that shows they go the extra mile. Anyway, like many of us on here, I am not just a gun guy, but a knife guy, and of course a light guy! It’s fun to live in such times that the technology improves so quickly as it means more goodies for us all the time! Here’s my newest Olight just as an example. It was actually marketed towards women more, though I love the red and gold look, as aesthetics are just as important to me as functionality. upload picture to link What Olights do you all have and or recommend?

Olights are quality lights. I have an R50 Seeker, several Batons and a weapon light or two and am pleased with all of them. Re: magnetic charging discs - they're great until you misplace one and have to replace it. Much more expensive than a USB cable.

Yep, NiteCore was my go to light. OLight has quickly changed this for me. Their S2R for pocket carry, H1R headlamp are daily users. Then comes the PL2 weapon lights and the M2R Warrior tactical light. Then add in a few S1R, H2R, etc... Family members have enjoyed their S2R batons. Magnetic charging is a nice quick feature. Having a couple extra RCR123 batteries in your shirt pocket is nice backup when out with the H1R.

I never looked that hard but saw Olight is making it so their lights will only work with their proprietary batteries with magnetic charging...at least some of the newer ones. I was recently shopping for lights and that steered me away. I love my S10R from them though.

The Wife and I have a pair of the S2R Batons..they have worked very well now for two years. And we have the half sized model (S1R) in each vehicle. They hold a charge well and they are super user friendly.

I'm Pickle Rick! |
I am a flashlight guy, not geek, guy. Surefire, Olight, and fenix are my go to lights. Surefire is more purpose built ie: military, first responders, etc. Olight and Fenix offer a wider range of lights that are used by civilians for the most part. If the batteries need to be Olight brand rechargeable that is weird. I’d just get a couple from them though I guess. Can always do a regular 123 non rechargeable I suppose as well. Glad to see others are liking theirs as well.

B&H Photo bundled a little AAA Olight flashlight when I bought an RMR a few weeks back. Seems like a nice little light for $9.95. NRA Life Member Steak: Rare. Coffee: Black. Bourbon: Neat.

Do not currently have any. Seem like the Fexix of yesteryear. Do they have a retailer network or do you buy directly from them? "Practice like you want to play in the game"
