This is just insane. A bunch of young punks taking over the street and destroying property.

And Seattle lets them do it

Interesting... caught the beginning of a show on the Smithsonian channel yesterday. It was about the Russian (communist) revolution. The first 5 minutes of the show gave a summary of how it started. It described exactly what has been going on here for the last year. It was eerie.

I tell anyone who listen that the only reason I’m in this country is because my dad fled communism to come here. My grandfather was killed by it.

Most people never even heard of the Holodomor, just the Holocaust.

As James Lindsay points out in a video I posted many pages ago, the similarities are overwhelming. No one thought the Bolsheviks were anything but a fringe radical group and they were ignored by the socialists, royalists and everyone else.... Until they were no longer a fringe group and won the Russian Revolution.

Just like today. If you listen to Brett Weinstein, Matt Taibi and others of their ilk, they were the ones who were saying that this radical ideology in academia was a bad thing, and everyone else said it was no big deal. Until it was a big deal.

Mainstream liberals are now figuring out the peril of ignoring these fuckers for the last several decades and giving them space and or cover to grow their seeds.

And now we have a nearly full-grown revolution. Just like 1917.

I admit I hadn’t heard of it by that name, so thanks for the reference. I did know about the event, but you are right that most people do not—along with most of the other atrocities committed by Communists every time they have gained power someplace. And that has been due, IMO, to the leftist “news” media and education system in this country for well over a century.

And I too have been thinking about the Russian and other revolutions a lot these days. One major difference between what is happening here today and in Russia in 1917 is those people then had some very legitimate reasons to overthrow the czarist regime. But then I’m not convinced that lack of good reasons will affect what happens to us today.

Guns openly displayed on each side.
No law enforcement in view.
Both sides are Face to Face, yeah this does not look like it will end well today.

Capitalism is based on the freedom to make your own choices, to produce as you choose, and to keep the fruits of your labors. How does that lead to racism??

Socialism is the "right" to produce nothing yourself, and then to eat (steal) from your neighbors garden, through gov't assistance.

Socialism always leads to a decayed economy and totalitarian government. Those in gov't steal from everyone who produces, they feed themselves first. The masses, now defacto slaves, get the leftovers. So that cures racism?

20-year-old charged after police say he live streamed himself breaking ATM with hammer

CHICAGO — Chicago Police Supt. David Brown announced charges against a 20-year-old man he said live streamed an attempt to break an ATM with a hammer.

Brown said Arron Neal streamed the incident during last weekend’s looting downtown and was placed into custody Friday.

He faces one felony count of burglary and one felony count of criminal damage to property.

The superintendent said police posted video of the incident on their website and within 90 minutes, members of the community helped officers to identity him.

“I want to thank the community for standing up and speaking out against this shameful destruction,” Brown said.

Brown announced the charges shortly before a protest was set begin at Robert Taylor Park and move toward Grant Park. Protesters are expected to shut down the Dan Ryan Expressway.

The video above the last post is worth viewing. Cops are identifying and charging looters unlike Seattle. Brown means business and he is getting community cooperation.
