My Friend Beat Bobby Flay!!!!
For the 1st dish when she battled the other nonfamous chef she did some collard greens and quail eggs.
The Bobby Flay battle she did a Lobster Soufflé and Bobby with a ham and honey Soufflé.
The all had special names that I can't remember but you get the idea.

Impressive, that dude can cook!! I’ve seen him lose a couple times but I haven’t watched that show in a while, either.

The craziest part of the show is he doesn’t even kmow what he has to cook until right before he has to. And it’s always the opponent’s signature dish, which, of course they have mastered.

Yep. The drug culture is alive and well in professional kitchens. My wife is a kitchen professional and she had to leave two jobs(her choice) because of the rampant drug use.

My experience in working in restraunts is limited to being a busboy to help pay for college. That was decades ago. My impression is that food-service employees are fueled by ethanol and THC.

Nothing much has changed between then and now, in that regard. Many of the cooks, chefs, and restaurateurs I know smoke and/or drink every shift, at least every dinner shift. You'd think they were a band on tour or something, every night a performance, and often with as many tattoos as musicians. Assholes/tyrants and attitudes are plentiful, too.

I remember when the Food Network was about cooking how to's and recipes. It's junk now. Congrats to your friend. Bobby Flay is a jack ass not just as a tv personality but as a person.
FN has many good personalities to make up for his lack of skills. They just don't have the programming any longer.

So I don't keep up on these kinds of things. What has Bobby Flay done that he's a jack ass?

You'd be surprised, but Flay's loss record seems to be about 1 out of every 5.

I just check and his W/L is 98-50. Almost 1/3rd.

Cheated on Stephanie March and then made the divorce really ugly and public, for one.

She looks pretty good (had to look her up)! It sure doesn't look like she's overindulged in Bobby's cuisines.

She's an alright actor, too, as I recall from Law and Order.

That’s great!

The wife and I watch regularly and notice that it’s HEAVILY biased towards Bobby Flay winning but it’s nice to see him get beat every so often.

The chef I worked for 20 years go in my first job out of culinary school was on recently but sadly got eliminated in the initial round between the two chefs who compete to take on Flay.

Just before I graduated the CIA culinary school in 1997, I was selected to be a gopher/assistant at the Food & Wine Magazine Classic food and wine festival in Aspen, CO. All the big time chefs of that time were there and we all got paired up with one as their assistant; Emeril, Julia Child, Jacques Pepin and an up-and-coming Bobby Flay. Everyone was VERY nice, gracious and approachable EXCEPT Bobby Flay who was a giant douche and actually sent his (very hot female) assistant to round us student chefs up and inform us “you do not approach Bobby, if you need to speak to him you speak to me and I’ll go to him.” It was made very clear to us that he was not to be spoken to, asked for autograph etc. WTF! All the rest of them, we could just walk right up to and speak to them if we wanted! Hopefully his douchines has mellowed over time.
