Yes, we complain because the switch is outdated and unnecessary.
We should stay on one or the other year-round.

Woke up this morning and all 4 of my Solar/Atomic G Shocks had changed Smile

Then I adjusted my wife's Luminox, our nightstand clocks, and the kitchen clock.

Another guy that thinks we should just stay on one or the other year round.

Oh yeah, I love DST changes. I get to wake up at 5:00AM, instead of 6:00, for about a month, and the dogs don’t understand why treat time moved.

Used to have about a dozen things needed changing twice-a-year. Now down to about a half-dozen.

Both my cooktop and microwave clocks are tedious to set. Sure wish that they had a convenient DST on/off switch.

I don't bother with the microwave any more. It resets every time the power glitches. I got tired of re-setting the clock, so now it just sits at 00:00.

The range is WiFi-connected, so now it fixes itself Smile

I don’t like it either, and cherish my years in Arizona, at least partially for that reason.

I’m always surprised at how quickly our dog adapts to the changing time, spring and fall. She seems to be back on schedule in less than a week, faster than my wife and I.

I’d like to see it actually happen. The change messes with me twice a year, every year. Makes no sense and I’m tired of it.

I like it…

Think we should stay on it 365.

I like more having more light hours at end of day vs beginning.

Purpose? A source of aggravation if you don't already have enough.

I think originally it was intended to move more of the work day into daylight and reduce the drain on the electrical grid. When that became moot, it drifted to be a way to give suburban men more time to mow their yards after work and for their bosses to do more golf.

I have hated DST from the day I became subject to it. I'm not a "morning person" and anything that made me get up earlier (by "Sun time") was bad. I grew up in a place that did not observe it (Detroit, MI in the 1950s) and my parents ended up in one of the few places that still does not (Arizona). Leave the clocks alone, the way the railroad big shots set it up, and you folks who want more afternoon light, get up early and use "flex time". Don't make the rest of us suffer for your convenience. Thank you.

I never become aware of just how many clocks there are in my shack until the switch. PITA.

There is a small gotcha that goes along with AZ not observing DST, and that is dealing with all the other states. That's if you need to call/contact some business or family member in another state. Lessee, it's 5am here, so is the East Coast 7am, or 8am? Other than that small thing, I love watching the seasons roll by naturally, and not having to change any time keepers.

When in doubt, mumble
