Astonishing. Fucking ungrateful, clueless, spoiled, whining millionaire asshole.

My wife is a big fan of the Braves. That team matters to me, because it matters to my wife. That's the only reason it matters to me. She loves watching the games, following the team's progress. I am happy about this because she is happy. Other than that, I couldn't tell you a thing abut MLB any more. Pissing little prima donna fucks.

For this asshole to say "Be quite. Stay out of the stadium. You're making too much noise." I don't even know where to begin with how fucked up is his attitude. Utterly astonishing.

Spencer Strider: get rid of the fans

I hope he gets hit in the face with a line drive

Meanwhile, the Astros are the opposite, team usually wants the roof closed for games since it's louder that way, especially when the opposing team has an open field at home.

What a douche bag, so this clown is the baseball version of John Cougar Mellencamp, another insufferable clueless person who doesn’t seem to know who butters his bread?

So what he’s basically saying is that he can’t pitch worth a damn unless he has quiet?

He doesn’t sound like that much of a “star” to me

Apparently he's to dumb to realize the fans help pay his salary, what a dingbat but he'll get away with it.

Something tells me he might receive some counseling from team ownership.

So no fans would mean all the people that work in the stadium to service the fans would lose their jobs.
But that clueless schmuck wouldn't care about those people.
What an asshole. Throw him out of the league.

Perhaps the greatest NBA team in history, the 1986 Boston Celtics won 50 games at home, lost one. Of course they had Larry Bird at his peak, but the main reason- the Boston fans in the stands, screaming, hollering, cheering, and Bird loved it, fed off the noise and sheer pandemonium. Great players use this to to their advantage, and this douchebag of a ball player demands quiet or else he'll go cry on the mound. What a pussy. Roll Eyes

As someone who's grown dog tired of the inevitable annual failure of the local Mariners playing themselves out of a chance of ever making it to the WS (I'm pretty sure that they're the only club left that hasn't made it to the Big Show), I don't follow baseball as closely as I once did as a result. But I know a bit about Spencer Strider because I really, REALLY wanted the M's to go after him at one point because he's damn good when it comes to that pitching stuff. His sense of humor, eh. He's got a somewhat notorious rep for being a joker and what he said and the way he said fits his persona to a T. I think that HE thinks he'll have an afterlife as a stand-up comedian.

In reality...Fluffy has nothing to worry about when it comes to competing for bookings.

If he was trying to be funny it wasn't very effective, but I suspect there was more than a grain of seriousness to it that he tried to pass off as joking. The great pitchers can stand up to any pressure thrown at them from the plate or the fans. He's apparently not one of them.

Oddly enough, the very last and only live pro baseball game I've ever attended was also "the Braves". It also was 'too loud'....

although that was the "Boise Braves" in about 1957 and I was a mere pup at the time. I had never been in such a large/noisy crowd before. There was probably several thousand boisterous fans in the old wooden open ball stadium.

Looking into the record books, the Boise Braves was a minor league Pioneer League team that turned 56 wins/70 losses that year.

He’s about to get his wish with me. I’m done with MLB as soon as the A’s relocation passes. 45 years of fandom gone. Fuck ‘em. Dipshit doesn’t realize no fans no salary but I’m sure he loved the game so much he’d play gif free, right? And free will cover a house and a car.

I was going to point-out, there's probably a handful of departments that want to have a lengthy word with him, starting with ownership.

berto, I feel for you. Houston Oilers left Houston, I have watched a couple of NFL games since but once they made it clear that pro sports is a business that I dont get any revenue from, I was not interested in much at all.

I will tell you that the Astros have pulled me back to the MLB at least. They have had a good run last 6 years in the playoffs.

I know very little about Oakland and the area, but everything I see in the news about the region, and watching an empty A's stadium says things looked dire.

But I certainly get it.
