Sold my bike two years ago. Somedays I miss it, but when it gets over 80 I remember how miserable it was having all the gear on in the heat.

Got to 90 yesterday in my area, I was out an about in the Mustang convertible, 80% of the fun factor and 150% of the comfort factor.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

Same here in Texas' Gulf Coast. Last year I didn't ride between June 9th and Labor Day and this year is looking the same.

It definitely has been toasty. A bit better this week, but then you've got the rain to deal with.
I've only been able to get out for a couple grocery store runs, with maxxed out saddlebags.

This...is where I think I’m heading. Didn’t ride last year after losing my mom and my best friend/riding buddy being diagnosed with cancer. Now my dad is in poor health and I just don’t enjoy it as much. Wife and I went out today for about 100 miles...just not the same. Confused

I try not to ride much when it is over 90 degrees as it is just too hot for me. I actually rode yesterday for about 3 hours. I enjoyed the ride, but it was hot. I got stuck in traffic jams three times trying to get to and from some good riding spots. The worst was 20 minutes of super crawling traffic in a area with construction I was not aware of since I had not been down that road for a while. I rode Lime Creek Road four times though which I always enjoy.

Thank you for your concern but I understand and accept the risks involved. I agree it is dangerous here but, that said, the common denominator with everyone I’ve known who died on a bike (too many) has been either they screwed up or they failed to anticipate someone else screwing up and that’s what gets you killed regardless of what you wear.

Bike sat outside in direct sunlight for almost 2 hrs while eating lunch while out on a ride. Temperature was 105*F + south Louisiana humidity. Riding back (65miles) at interstate speed was like riding in a blast furnace. Got a very good case of monkey butt. Lost bike in 2016 due to a major flood event and due to medical reasons deceided not to replace it. ....................................drill sgt.

Lifelong Floridian currently in TN. I wear an armored jacket, gloves, full face helmet, and riding boots every single time. Just used to it I guess.

I think the trick is just to go faster and avoid stopping...ever. It's not as bad.

Got out for a quick ride to get my wife Cinnabon for her birthday.

Nice & cool just pre-sunrise. No traffic. May have been 90% highway, but nice to not roast.

There’s a product being sold now that may help when it’s over 90.
One of the motorcycle forums I subscribe to endorsed it earlier in the week.
Have a look at cyclechillers.com.
They are almost $300 but with it being 91 here at 10 AM I
may have sprung for one on the way home.

I feel sorry for all you riders who are in 90+ degree heat now (although your late Fall and early Spring should make up for it.)

Weather is perfect here with highs in the mid 70's to 80. Did about 90 miles on local small paved and gravel roads yesterday afternoon breaking in my new bike, and took the Monkey out for a nice ride today.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

The GF and I put a couple hundred miles on the Harleys yesterday. We met for breakfast, fueled up and rode til lunch in the Lake O the Pines region.
I really felt the heat after lunch. By the time I got home I was absolutely done. But I still had a good time.
