He spends more time with kids at the games than almost all the other players on the team combined. I give him high marks for that...

I certainly can't hate him because of his agent...

Really? It's always said that he plays too hard on all the coverage I have ever seen of him.

Is he immature, yes, will he learn, yes.

Remember he is only 24 years old, most ball players spend some time in the minors and get to refine their game and personality, he didn't get that chance. He was on Sports Illustrated cover at 16 years old, it's not easy being any kind of child prodigy.

He's goes hard at everything he does. Think about it like this. He was born October 16, 1992, how many pairs of jeans do you have that you have had since then? The hard headedness will mild with age.

Make Baseball Fun Again.
Make America Great Again.

He's working on #1, DJT is working on #2.

Go D-Backs!
They probably won't do anything this year either but I can hope the wife's cousin moves up in their farm system. Hoping he moves from Missoula (rookie league) up the rankings.

Got tickets for saturday night and sunday games on opening weekend for the Braves in their new stadium (which is about 3 miles from my house.)

Couldn't get Friday night opener tix but might look for some on the secondary market. Saturday I'll go with my buddies and sunday I'll take my wife and 2 year old. Didn't realize it was Easter Sunday...

I'm caught up in this season more than normal. I love the mlb.com streaming service. Almost all games are shown with your choice of home or away feed. Also has audio only. They start out at $129 for the full season but start discounting early. Went to 1/2 price in mid April and I signed up.

I'm a Reds fan and am pleased with the start they're on. Didn't expect .500 ball out of them. I root for players as much as teams and am a Harper fan. He compares with the Mick and is to be commended for his work with kids. Some other favorites of mine are ex-Red Mike Leake now with the Cards and Jay Bruce, also ex-Red now with Mets. Both are off to a good start and I wish them well. I give Bronson Arroyo credit for much of the Reds early success. He is great with young players and is a crafty pitcher who has always been a free spirit.

I pull for Reds first but also like Cards, Cubs, Giants, Mets, Yankees, White Sox, Nats, D'Backs. Smile

A great day! Cards win!

The old stadium was bigger but this one has a good view pretty much everywhere.

Mariners started the season with a really questionable pitching staff.

Now they are decimated with injuries. Manager has know idea who to start tomorrow vs the Jays. About to get swept in a 4 games series with them.

Wheels coming off.
Bull pen is a bunch of recycled has been's.

No catcher.
Third baseman is is streaky at the plate and has a history of horrible starts which he is approaching his typical 2 month funk of a start.

First baseman a journeyman that has been on a bunch of teams.

Yep baseball season is almost here. Hopefully the Nats will sign a closer. Oh shit, never mind, it is here, we forgot to sign a closer, dang it.

One of the best starting staffs in baseball and one of the best offensive teams, yet we need a 15 run lead heading into the 8th or 9th for me to feel comfortable turning off a game.

Harper was on pace for another MVP, then goes down because of stupid decision to play in the rain. At least he should be back for playoffs.

He was on pace for .330, 50 hr, and 120 RBI.

Luckily we have 14 game lead and a couple of other MVP caliber players to get us through to the playoffs. Plus we're got some late inning bullpen players now. No ace closer, but we didn't mortgage the future to get our trade pickups.

Go NATS!

Even with the injury, I'm gonna go on record in predicting that Harper gets a record contract.
