Since he separated from DOGE, I don't know, I just don't want to hear what he has to say, or even look at him. I just want him to go away. The world already has more than enough people who are full of shit.

It may sound irrational, but that's how I feel. I no longer trust the guy.

I think I finally managed to get off his e-mail list a couple weeks ago. I'm tired of him, too.

I think he was smart enough to know he doesn't want to be a sidekick to Elon. Maybe at first he thought he could mange Elon because Elon appears to be on the spectrum.

He figure's getting to be a governor would give him a better shot in 2028. But I think he's going to be second bench if not third bench in 2028.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Not sure why he would be considered untrustworthy but Ohio Governorship campaigning isn't of a lot of interest.
I think he is pretty smart and articulate, FWIW.

Yes, he's articulate and obviously an intelligent man, but the more I listen to him, the more I get the impression he's conning people. I didn't wake up one morning and decide "I'm going to tire of this guy." That's just the way it is. I think he's got some growing up to do.

I guess I just live mostly in the SF bubble. I have not heard anything from him in months.

I have liked him and his desire to shred the socialist/communist globalist liars.

I don’t really care for him much either and unfortunately he’s running to be our next Governor of Ohio. He already has Trump’s endorsement and will most likely beat Dave Yost in the primary. I think Yost would’ve been a much better Governor. Ohio has a long history of electing RINOs so I’m hoping Vivek at the very least breaks that tradition.

I think Vivek would’ve been more effective in a behind the scenes role in the Trump administration.

I had high hopes for him listening to him talk during the campaign. He had an opportunity to do a tremendous amount of good as part of DOGE and he walked away before it even got started. I'm not sure if he got pushed out because he couldn't be a team player and get along with Elon, or bailed because he cares more about self-promotion and jumped at a chance to do something more centered around him. Either way, I'm not impressed.

Yost is so milktoast he makes Dewine look like the spicy the pad thai place gives to a thai national.

Vivek presents himself to me as a man with a self-serving agenda.

But to be fair, Donald Trump presented himself to me as a man with a self-serving agenda back in 2015.

I came to that conclusion some time ago. I posted here some days ago about wondering about Vivek leaving Doge. I don't think his ego could take it.

I think he saw what the DOGE plan was and realized how irrational people are so he distanced himself from it to further his political career. I can’t see him as a president but he could certainly run a state. I would vote for him any day over Pritzker.

He is a good conservative, we all know that but can he win? Does he have what it takes to really relate to the people, to convince them to believe in him? To actually win this thing?

I don't know, but I'll be rooting for him.

I dont care about Ohio, so he is of no further interest to me for now.

I believe he left DOGE, because it became clear that Elon was the favorite a d he and Elon disagreed on methodology. I liked Vivek's plan, but I dont believe he was going to be allowed to follow it. The departure made sense.

Im glad he is going to get some experience under his belt, I hope he is successful, and look forward to seeing him make another go. 2028 will be too early.

I get that exact same impression. Telling people what they want to hear. It just does not "feel right", deep down inside.

Last year, I noticed him immediately, he was heads and shoulders above candidates like Haley, DeSantis, Pence, etc. as far as connecting with voters, his sharp as a tack responses to tough media questions, and he was pretty loyal to Trump throughout the campaign season. But he eventually morphed into a politician, something I still believe Trump is not, same with Musk. At times towards the end of last year, I got the feeling the guy was just trying too hard.

If he wins Ohio, I don't have a problem with that, but he will not be a contender in the 2028 presidential race.

I think he still has a bright future and I bet he will be on the top of the Republican presidential ticket in 2028 or 2032.

Right now I would vote for him for Governor. I don’t want to watch commercials until the fall of 2026 though. And things could change for me by then.
