From the Chicago Sun-Times: "Chicago’s violent night: CPD officer killed, another wounded; 2 mass shootings; multiple triple shootings"
This is worse than the usual chaos in Chicago. Here's the article if anyone is interested (link).
But, what really has me upset - and, of course, is being ignored by the media - is the reaction to the shooting of the two police officers. A lady I follow on Twitter is reporting: "patrol officers had to break up several “demonstrations” last night- large groups of people “celebrating” the death of this officer and the serious wounding of another."

Chicago PD 'all' need to call in sick for a couple weeks. The fact that this violence is allowed to continue unchecked, with the media completely ignoring it, is reprehensible.

Wow. Read the link. It’s just one after another. Unbelievable.
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

For a long time the media did not use the term "mass shooting" for gang or other criminal enterprise related shootings in inner cities. The term was exclusively used for random crazy people shooing up schools, workplaces, or other public places.
But now they change. Seems they want to gin up "gun crime" as much as possible to justify more gun control.

We got ourselves the Piedmont Park Ripper here in Atlanta. Someone literally eviscerated a woman and her dog right out of sight of the surveillance cameras.
The mayor came out of her cave to make a statement after not seeing her for over a year since plunging the city into chaos.
Her advice was not to go into the park alone.

Both are true I'm sure. Depravity brought on by ignorance, dependence, and plain old criminality and evil. We can't understand it because it's 180 degrees opposite of what we believe and do, and forever unfathomable for us to understand.

It’s time for anyone with a functioning brain stem to abandon these cities and states where society is not wanted. When you pay taxes, you finance this.
Move to free states and primary state level reps that will stop this type of behavior.

The sad thing is the downstate Illinois is quite beautiful and conservative. If it weren’t for Chicago it would be a great state.

Yeah, downstate I’d think I was in Iowa or Nebraska. Really hurts, I was born on the Southside & will never go back. It was beautiful, different ethnic neighborhoods. Irish, Italians, Polish,Germans, Greeks.Well kept neighborhoods. No killings or at most very rare. But this was in the 50’s to early 60’s.

Just don't be tricked like I was. I chose a free state that looked great 25 years ago, only the have it go to crap on me. Same with Washington --- looked great then the well was poisoned by a small area that controlled the rest of the state. Oh, look, same thing in Colorado, and, Nevada is sinking fast.
To be honest, it wasn't that long ago that CA wasn't that bad. Reagan as governor. Had Bob Dornan until the mid 90's.
