Toyota water pump replacement tips?
When I bought my 2007 Tacoma the first thing I did was buy the factory service manual (four volumes).

Best purchase ever. Wink

Alldatadiy.com for the win.

Call it 7 hours as I am not a mechanic either.

It got new:
Pump
Hoses
Thermostat
Drive belt, serpentine.

Fired up, no major leaks noticed. I’ll let it sit for dinner and then take it for a spin and check for seepage. I sure hope not.

Later will be:
Spark plugs
Front diffential
Rear differential
Transfer case

That should last me another 100k and then it’s time to shop probably for a new one.

All set and no leaks. I think I finally got it purged but the overflow or reservoir bottle is low again. This after a half dozen heat cool cycles. Nothing else seems to be an issue so I think it’s just purging the air.
