If so, when was the last time you fired at least 10 shots with any sort of personal firearm?

Question:
When was the last time you shot a gun that you personally own and fired at least 10 shots with it in a single session?
.

Choices:
Within the past week.
Within the past month.
Within the past two months.
Within the past six months.
Within the past 12 months.
Sometime but I don't remember when.
I have a gun, but shoot it? [confused]

And if you keep track, what is your total number for 2024, including for military or LE, with your issued weapons?
I may get out again before next Wednesday, but at the moment it's 7085.

I now live more than an hour away from my range, and I haven't built one suitable or safe enough for shooting on the homestead. Because of this, I'm getting out shooting a lot less.

An interesting side twist perhaps that you could consider, might be practicing with a suitable device such as a mantis. While it doesn't replace live fire, in some ways, it can be even more productive in training.

I also dryfire every day.

Impressive.
I don't keep track.
I probably shoot more pistol rounds than anything but I like shooting rifle, pistol, and shotgun.
Trap is a lot of fun, especially with my nephews. Teaching the next generation.

I used to shoot all the time. Trap mostly. Not so much lately though. Need to get back into it.

I shoot a lot less than I used to. For a while I was a very active IDPA, 3-gun, and USPSA shooter, going to five to eight informal matches a month. But I stopped having the time to be able to do it, and shifted to playing more golf, which was more a weekend activity.

I'm not shooting anywhere near as much (round count wise) as I used to, but I'm usually good for once a week weather permitting. When I shot more (rounds), I shot less often. When the afternoon/evening sunlight allows, and I'm motivated, I'll go two or three times a week.

I was going this morning til I saw it was 20 degrees. What I was going to shoot wasn't THAT important. lol I was going Christmas morning till some other calamity happened. Roll Eyes It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but if it isn't too terrible I'll go then.

For years I shot Club Matches or private casual matches with the guys on my pistol squad every weekend.

The last few years I slowed that down due to other weekend activities.
But still shooting club stuff once or twice a month, sporting clays a few times a year, rifle probably 4 times a year, and shoot my carry gun once a month on falling plates and bullseye.

Haven’t keep accurate records in a long time, but each match is 200-275.

Much of my total round count this past year is from extensive 22 Long Rifle sessions shooting semiprecision drills. Although .22 rimfire shooting is not as impressive as some activities, I’ve seen a lot of improvement with my centerfire precision rifle marksmanship as a result.

I shoot at a Pistol Club, usually once a month. I'd like to go more often, but time and finances don't always allow it.

This year I shot 1924 rounds through my P320 Sub Compact 9mm.

I shot about 300 rounds yesterday. Been working a lot of G48 stuff in my off time. I’ve shot about 30k of pistol this year including matches and work stuff. Plus dry fire a couple nights a week.

Shot 100 rounds of .22 LR last range session. Hoping to get to the range in the next week or so to repeat that.

I'm good for 5k rounds per year, probably more since I got a machine gun. I try to get to the range at least every other week.

My wife and I have a standing range practice session scheduled for twice each month.
We run assorted drills or courses of fire depending on which of the two ranges that we belong to we happen to be using.

My round count is around 150 rounds a month, my wife's is 100 rounds a month through her carry gun and another 25-50 rounds through her .22 for some plinking fun.

Shotgun (20g Mossberg 590) is usually shot 3-4 times a year.

Dry fire practice session 2x each week too.

I used to shoot a lot. But Covid prices of primers stopped that. Now I go thru about 2k a year vs 5k or more. I’ve quit going to matches altogether. So the shooting I’m doing now is merely practice. I do a bill drill each time I go to the range with my EDC and then shoot what I brought to shoot be it a shotgun, rifle or other pistol

Are we talking about a specific duty gun, or in general?

In general, Im easily over 12,000 rounds in 2024.

One of the big things I miss about "Uncle Sugar's Magic Circus" and other various .gov agencies was the amount of free bullets they give you!
