After 23 years in the field, I now work at a desk. Too much sitting is causing issues. What are the pros & cons, and who makes a good reasonably priced desk? I use dual monitors, so that is a factor.

I found this one for my wife and she loves it. A very well built item. $200 delivered and was well packaged and fully assembled. They oil the hell out of the hinged mechanism so some of it will almost certainly have dripped down. I presumed it to be from the pneumatic struts but this was not the case. Got an actual person when I called to ask about the oil. I don't remember having to wait either.

Varidesk seems to be the best one out there. People who have seen both have said this one is easily as high quality. At half the price, these probably sell well. Two people at her office (who were on the fence about which to purchase) immediately bought one just like it once she had hers.

This one is gray, my wife's desk is all black.

I have seen one of these in action and it is impressive. I still haven't looked at the price expecting it to be obscene. The unit is well built and sturdy. User had 2 monitors and a docked laptop on it. Van get photo tomorrow if desired.

The only othe route I would consider is the entire desk going up and down. That setup isn't as stable (I use one at work) as the other.

Use a VeriDesk at work (there are about 6 more in office).
Use 2 15" monitors with a bit of space to spare.
Cost is about $400.00 but well worth it.

I have one of the powered desks at work, very stable up and down. But, I do just leave it up and stand all day. Burn more calories over time, easy to walk away to talk to someone and come back, etc. I think it's Evodesk.

I have one of these on my desk, my only complaint is the amount of space it takes up while it is not in the 'standing' position.

2 20in monitors, a bunch of nick nacks and it's stable as can be while up.

Saw one there this weekend I liked for about half that but with a crank. Seemed really sturdy.

Dont trust their online ordering though...its horrible and zero customer service.

Pick it up in person if you can.

^ I've only ever bought Ikea things in person. The stores are fun, food is good, service OK.

Just set up a Jarvis bamboo desk from fully. I like it a lot. The mechanism to raise and lower it is smooth and quiet. With 4 memory positions the wife and I both have stored seated and standing heights.

We use Ergotron at the office. They have several models but most people like the corner model that holds two monitors. Office Depot is the cheapest place to buy. About $500.

I have used a Varidesk for several years. Great product. Simple to change from sitting to standing however, it is in the up position 90% of the time.
