I remember Jon Stewart talking about how the left is turning everyone into a monolith. "the liberal left are the party of diversity and acceptance, but if you disagree with me your the worst kind of evil" His example was that all Trump supporters are white supremist and misogynist. I enjoyed aspects of that Maher segment. However, as others have already opined, if cancel culture weren’t also eating those on the left, I think Maher might not have objected at all.
