I could not agree more. Further, his reference to mccarthyism is very on point.

I always find it interesting how Bill can be so correct on one issue and so wrong on other related issues. He doesn’t think people have been speaking out on cancel culture? Oh when they do that’s just the right appropriating it. Right.

Bill Maher is at best a hypocrite. I think he is a puppet with no shame. His brand of “humor” is to me not funny, not amusing and just downright stupid.

Haven't agreed with anything this guy has said maybe ever.

The Morgan Wallan situation highlights this pretty clear. Say the N word once and you are out! Kinda scary to me.

somehow, Bill has these moments of clarity a couple of times a year. Then he reverts to the Progressive norms.

Like much of Maher's monologues, for every good point he makes, the other half of it is laced or, tinged with snarky barbs at those he's referring to; sorry-not sorry. He makes good points however, he's just as guilty of not just 'cancel culture' but, 'piling on' and throwing gas on the fire of whatever topic he's speaking on. People like him, Dan Savage, Samantha Bee, John Oliver and others are all in the same boat, too smart for their own good who got their licks-in when it was ok. He's carved himself a nice career as an irreverent, snarky social commentator who's made connections with Hollywood and has now realized or, wants to make sure everyone knows that 'what comes around, goes around'

Wanna destroy cancel culture, start aiming the criticism at the people who listen to and accommodate such BS, owners/presidents/executives/managers who act on this sophomoric antic, grow a spine and be an adult.

I agree with Bill Maher about once per year. Looks like I’m good for 2021.

I am going to respectfully disagree with my fellow forum members and state that I find most of his humor funny. I think his writing is clever, his delivery is good, and the content germane. If I was looking for a comedian that I agree with politically then I would be stuck with Red Skelton reruns, which isn't a bad thing.

Sure he makes some points we agree with, but it's too little too late to change my opinion of him.

Screw this guy.

The only reason he is saying this is because something about him is about to come out or he is afraid it is. He has been a champion of those who have been pushing this agenda for decades, and now hes aghast at what it has become? Go to hell Bill

Except his comedy is centered completely around politics. That's what he does. I don't know how anyone can stomach listening to Bill Maher day in and day out unless he or she mostly agrees with his message.

Maher is a self important, smug, smarmy anal orifice. And the blind squirrel analogy applies to his take on cancel culture.

Exactly. The first ~30 seconds sets it all up...'Liberals need a stand your ground law...'

Translation - the 'Woke' aren't limiting their cancel efforts to just conservatives these days...which was a-ok.

He's only concerned because some folks out their are less than impressed with Hollywood elitism.

You guys know it is ok to agree with someone on some points and disagree on others, right? Some folks need to grow up.
