Oh they're worse than hacks - they're straight-up ultra Liberal Democrat party propagandists!!! There was an article (can't find it right now..) saying that for the last 6mo's of 2024 before the election 99.8% of their guests/politicians/celebs were "Left-leaning"(understatement of the year...). Basically only bringing on Dem politicians to try to influence the election. I really hope Jon Stewart & John Oliver are next. Those two Lefty Loons have the most massive cases of TDS ever seen..

Obviously the leftists are upset; they’re losing an important propaganda venue. Someone needs to first explain economics to these fools, followed by the parent company making the decisions about its products. Here’s a thought- suggest another network pick up that whiny little bitch Colbert’s show. I’ll bet none of the remaining trash commie networks even consider it… for which the TDS ridden crowd will undoubtedly blame Trump. “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown

Too bad, so sad. What a phony! Lose your show's audience over a couple of decades because of your political grandstanding, and what do you think the outcome would be?

Just imagine how many chances he's going to have to show his ass like this in the next few months. https://x.com/greg_price11/status/1947503584977031450 _______________________________________________ “What sickens me about left-wing people, especially the intellectuals, is their utter ignorance of the way things actually happen.” ~ George Orwell "That's one thing about intellectuals. These late night shows seem to exist to create a venue for "important" people to get an audience and "make news". Despite the low ratings, these shows are constantly in the news, getting so much more attention that the show or the guests deserve, a symbiotic relationship that conflates the importance of both. Ratings take a back seat to high profile, doctrinaire shit slinging. Set the controls for the heart of the Sun.

Some interesting stats The show costs $100 million a year to produce and it loses $40 million a year. The show staff number about 200 people. Colbert’s salary is about $15 million a year. No idea the total cost of the staff salary and benefits. In any event, to spend that much money with so many people and still have a crappy product might be a reason.

Colbert has to have the absolute worst case of Trump Derangement Syndrome that there is. It's borderline unreal how a person can spend every waking moment and literally every conversation hating one other human being. I'm not surprised they're kicking him off. I am surprised they're letting him hang around almost another year. Proverbs 28:1

He may not appear all that much during his remaining time. Wouldn't be surprised if there aren't equally idiotic "guest hosts" waiting in the wings. End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles

Who the hell watches this shit besides youngsters anyway? I know people work different shifts, I got up at four or five A.M. for 45 years. Who starts watching tv at 11:30? I couldn't have picked this Colbert guy out of a lineup till a couple days ago. I've watched a lot of snipets or utubes of Johnny Carson. He was class.

What was supposed to be a big rally in front of the CBS Broadcast Center to support Colbert petered out in a matter of minutes, due to only 20 people showing up. Even the cops assigned to the rally left. See Stevie- nobody cares about you. https://nypost.com/2025/07/27/...st&utm_medium=social "I’m not going to read Time Magazine, I’m not going to read Newsweek, I’m not going to read any of these magazines; I mean, because they have too much to lose by printing the truth"- Bob Dylan, 1965

I don't think youngsters watch any tv, especially mainstream tv. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Steven Crowder, when talking about this recently, pointed out his operation produces a significantly better product with less of a budget than Colbert’s salary alone, let alone the whole budget. He’s absolutely correct too.

These people baffle me. Colbert is my age and has been making tens of millions of dollars for how many years now? If I had a fraction of his worth I'd take the money, run, and 90% of the people I know would never see me again. Show's cancelled? See ya! Think of the Road Runner taking off in a puff of dust...only faster. But no, he has to fight and whine for more. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. It appears that Piers Morgan has offered his opinion on Colbert and leftist comedians in general. Piers Morgan Says Late-Night Hosts Are “Hyper-Partisan Activist Hacks For The Democrats” & It’s “No Wonder” Stephen Colbert “Got Canned” https://deadline.com/2025/07/p...ellation-1236471836/ While Stephen Colbert has received plenty of support from fellow television mainstays and late-night hosts following the unceremonious cancellation of The Late Show, Piers Morgan isn’t among them. Earlier today, the British media personality took to X to slam Colbert and other longtime late-night hosts, alleging these figures were nothing more than puppets for the Democratic Party. “This is so damning,” Morgan wrote alongside a cover of New York Post that outlined the political leanings of Colbert’s guests, which skewed toward the left. “Most of America’s biggest late-night hosts have become nothing more than hyper-partisan activist hacks for the Democrats — a party that’s rarely been more unpopular. No wonder Colbert got canned. More will follow.” Morgan, who has alternately supported and critiqued president Donald Trump and does not consider himself right-wing, continued his commentary in several other tweets, beginning with an endorsement of Jay Leno’s recent comments questioning why late-night hosts would “alienate” half their audience by “cozying too much to one side or the other.” The host of YouTube’s Piers Morgan Uncensored continued in another tweet, this time aimed at fellow U.K.-hailing peer John Oliver: “UPDATE: Just watched a drooling @60Minutes segment tonight about John Oliver who was proud of telling his viewers not to vote for Trump at last election. He told them to vote for Kamala Harris instead. That’s not comedy, it’s partisan political activism.” And, when responding to a tweet by political commentator and MSNBC contributor Brian Tyler Cohen, Morgan stated, “Trump didn’t cancel Colbert… he cancelled himself with poor ratings, huge costs, and boring viewers with anti-Trump bias.” Just a couple days after Stephen Colbert ripped into parent company Paramount‘s $16 million settlement with president Donald Trump on the air — a move he likened to a “big fat bribe” aimed to grease the Federal Trade Commission’s approval of a year-long pending merger between Paramount Global and David Ellison’s Skydance Media — he revealed to audiences that CBS would be axing The Late Show, the franchise first begun by host David Letterman in 1993. Executives defended the cancellation, calling it “purely a financial decision against a challenging backdrop in late night” that “is not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.” Since Colbert made the shocking revelation public July 17, Trump has vocally celebrated the show’s retiring, as a majority of the show’s writers represented by the Writers Guild of America have called on New York State Attorney General Letitia James to launch an investigation into “potential wrongdoing” at Paramount. This comes as a number of Senate Democrats, like Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren, made statements defending constituents’ right to know if the series was canceled due to political reasons. In additional fallout, protesters gathered outside the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City where Colbert tapes to push back against the decision. As for Colbert himself, he has made it clear that he will not go gentle into that good night, telling Trump to “go f— himself.” He added in the July 21 episode of his show, “But [CBS] made one mistake. They left me alive. Now for the next 10 months, the gloves are off. I can finally speak unvarnished truth to power and say what I really think about Donald Trump. I don’t care for him. Doesn’t have the skillset to be president.” “Remember to get vaccinated or a vaccinated person might get sick from a virus they got vaccinated against because you’re not vaccinated.” - author unknown
