Might I suggest that you don’t. The 121 mile marker in NC, on I95 is the apex of dark, black holes where evil resides.

Literally the crime rate is that equal to Durham just with the population reduced...the number of people on welfare is over 50% and they don’t want to work. I can think of a few good things there:

Parker’s BBQ on US 301
The Beefmastor on 301
And my old friends who choose to continue to work for the PD regardless of the left leaning “leadership”.
And my two or three friends who weren’t cops.

Other than that, my best advise is, like in the Lion King when Rafaqui raised up Simba and looked over the plain and said, it is a place we don’t speak of......

Pho is my favorite dish and I'm fortunate to live in an area where there is a large Vietnamese population. I also try to find a pho restaurant when I travel.

In St. Petersburg, Florida, there is a restaurant that serves a pretty decent bowl of it named Pho Kien Giang.

It's a bit of a hidden treasure, in the its storefront is unassuming, in a largely Asian strip center. Inside, it's cozy and busy. No one objects to the name.

You can't truly call yourself "peaceful" unless you are capable of great violence. If you're not capable of great violence, you're not peaceful, you're harmless.

How about not giving your business a double entendre name?

How about we let people name their business whatever they want? How about these weenises stop being babies, crying about every stupid thing that offends them? How about when those weenises do bitch and moan, we tell them to consume excrement, and die?

I think the vast majority of pho places have retardedass names, and yeah, they're pretty childish sounding, but regulating stupid business names I don't think is an essential function of government. I'm sure the town has more pressing concerns than whether or not a business has a crude name that makes 12 year old boys giggle, and they should focus on those issues. Otherwise it's just government jacking off.

I love this. Why can't there be more people like you?

Why can't they be more like rural PA?

You know, towns with signage like Intercourse and Bird-In-Hand.

I see nothing wrong with this. Keene is a college community - the pressure on the Town probably came from the Keene State U faculty and students. I would bet the locals love the restaurant.

Nor do I. But, I do find it crude and stupid.

How about just giving it a normal name? What a crazy thought.

Because freedom, that's why.

Don't like it, don't go there.

What we need is 100x less worrying about what others do in their homes and businesses.

Crass or not. Their business, their choice.

This is America, FFS.

And here is the deal, 99.99999999 percent of America wouldn't have known to be offended unless this story got out. Now, they know to be "offended" like most all contrived drama

Yes, it is a stupid name that doesn't bother me in the least.

The stupidity that bothers me is the lady leasing space without making sure their was language in the terms allowing exterior signage. It is the cities building (that is a different freedom argument) so they get to determine the rules.

I'm amazed at the number of stupid people who sign contracts without either reading themselves or paying an attorney to read it for them and then cry foul about the terms...

Augustina Lindlbauer, the manager of an area guesthouse, noted that the area had lakes, forests, and vistas worth visiting, but there was an "obsession with Fucking". Lindlbauer recalled how she had to explain to a British female tourist "that there were no Fucking postcards."

The road signs were commonly stolen as souvenirs—the only crime which has been reported in the village. It cost some 300 Euros to replace each stolen sign, and the costs were reflected in the taxes that local residents pay. In 2004, owing mainly to the stolen signs, a vote was held on changing the village's name, but the residents voted against doing so. Tarsdorf municipality's mayor Siegfried Höppl stated that it was decided to keep the name as it had existed for 800 years, and further stated that "everyone here knows what it means in English, but for us Fucking is Fucking—and it's going to stay Fucking."

I have no use for the town. loaded with liberals that would screw anyone's rights if it met their needs. A lot of whiny college kids who are clueless.

Not that long ago a shining example..

quote:
KEENE, N.H. - Disturbances lasted until early Sunday near Keene State College after an annual pumpkin festival erupted into mayhem and led to arrests, injuries and police in riot gear using tear gas.

Keene State student Ellery Murray told The Boston Globe that she was at a party Saturday that had drawn a large crowd when people started throwing things. She said police responded in riot gear and used tear gas to break up the crowd.
"People were just throwing everything they could find - rocks, skateboards, buckets, pumpkins," she said. "People just got too drunk."

The college students then blamed the police for responding to deal with it. If I were a resident I'd want that college gone.

Can she be a virgin and a grandma simultaneously? Then she knows what it is, probably even before you were born. But yes, it is rude humor.

Making sure mawmaw isn't uncomfortable is also not an essential function of government.
