Bit of a strange question, but I am seriously exploring the idea of getting a truck load of alfalfa mix hay.
If anyone on the forum deals with hay or has a trusted contact, please reply here or email me directly.
Thanks

Where do you live and are you looking to buy hay and haul it yourself, or do you want it hauled to you and what size bales are you looking for.

I'm not in the 'hay business' but with a horse barn I buy thousands and thousands of bales of it. What exactly are you looking for? and what do you want to do with it? and where?

Cowpens SC
I would be able to set up my own transportation, but also open to idea of delivery.
This hay would be for my cattle and sheep.
I have couple of friends that will go in on it with me.
Mainly looking for the 3x3x8 bales.
I am somewhat open to ideas.

I'm assuming you haven't been using purchased hay for your animals previously? But in any case hay is a local issue. and volume is what drives getting it or delivering it. Not sure how many bales you need. if small you are going to get it, if big then it will be delivered. Around me the cutoff is 100 bales but no idea if that is the same in your area. If you don't know a source call your local feed store and ask who stocks it or who is advertising for sale. Then post on your local fb or other site that you are looking for hay especially in the ag/equine sections.
Good luck.

I am mainly looking to get alfalfa mix bales. Not much alfalfa is grown in SC, that’s why I am looking to find a source.
As stated in OP, I am looking for a truck load.
I can get fescue and Bermuda locally no problem.
