We got ours a few days ago. We didn't think we qualified for one.

Situation awareness is defined as a continuous extraction of environmental information, integration of this information with previous knowledge to form a coherent mental picture in directing further perception and anticipating future events. Simply put, situational awareness mean knowing what is going on around you.

Got mine. Grandson got laid off (covid-19 related). His unemployment claim is still not processed six weeks after he filed. That's typical here in NJ. He's on his own and surprisingly enough, he still needs to eat. There is car insurance etc. So I have helped out with some of this and glad to do it. Some of it I'll get back when his unemployment finally gets through (loan). Some of it I'll forgive so he has a few bucks to get back on his feet.

Thanks to the wonders of pass-through income, I qualify for $0 of trump money, but I’m doing ok and still fully employed so I don’t mind.

The only thing that annoys me is that I’m going to contribute to repaying all this money, but I didn’t have any real say in who it went to help in the first place. I don’t mind helping other people out, but I like to have some agency in deciding who and how I help. Oh well. I’ll take comfort in the fact that this money made a positive difference to a lot of people I would have chosen help, even if there are others I would have told to pound sand.

I received a prepaid Visa Debit “Economic Impact Payment Card” in the mail on Saturday from Money Network Cardholder Services.

Looks to be legit according to the IRS website. Anyone else get one of these? Confused

So did I; on Thursday. It's legit as myself and two brothers researched it on the US Treasury's website. Note of caution if you use it for cash withdrawals at any but the MetaBank ATMs you get hit for the service fee. It wasn't as much as expected either, guess I made more money than remembered. Amounts to a few weeks of groceries though.

Mine came today. Almost tossed it. Was thinking this might be worthy of a new thread for people not following this one. I think a lot of people are going to assume it's junk mail, a credit card offer or a scam and just throw it away.

I finally finished up 2019 this week and filed as Head of Household, using just my income. Because of "stuff"...I'll more than qualify for the payment based on 2019 return.

Is there a way to get the IRS to review that return, even though they've already said 'no' to the 2018 Return with my ex wife on it?

The answer is “yes”, they will figure it out and send you a payment. At least they did me.

USPS says one is coming today in my wife’s name. We already got $2,400 based on our married tax return. I wasn’t aware any new stimulus was passed.

Economic Impact Payment Card

Will I Receive an EIP Card?

Nearly 4 million Americans are slated to receive EIP cards. You may be one of them if you qualify for an economic impact payment and didn't yet receive your stimulus payment as a direct deposit.

"Taxpayers receive EIP Cards because they are eligible for an EIP, but the IRS did not have their bank account information and because their tax return was processed by either the Andover (Massachusetts) or Austin (Texas) IRS Service Center," wrote Sarah Shannonhouse, manager for tax practice and ethics at the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants, in an email.

In general, Americans who qualify for a stimulus check are taxpayers earning an adjusted gross income of less than $99,000 if single or $198,000 if married filing jointly. The full $1,200 per taxpayer is available to single filers earning less than $75,000 and married filers earning less than $150,000. An additional $500 is available for taxpayers with children under age 17.
