Foxnews.com That's not getting your money's worth.
Police in Fairfax County, Va., said a local driver totaled a McLaren 720S luxury sports car just a day after it was purchased.
The department shared an image of the smashed car on Facebook with the caption: "Purchased Friday. Totaled Saturday." The post added that speed was the main factor in the crash
[DUH!] and warned drivers to "slow down, or it could cost you."
The driver suffered non life-threatening injuries.
The Washington Post, citing police, reported that the crash unfolded at around 7:45 a.m. Saturday in Great Falls, approximately 15 miles northwest of Washington D.C.
Authorities estimated that the car was worth "around $300,000," while the 710 horsepower car 720S has a listed base price of $288,845.
From the comments:
A rabbi and a priest crash into each other at a four-way junction. They both get out of their cars and look at the wreck. They both thank God they are OK, and the priest says, ‘This must be a sign that God wanted us to meet.’ The rabbi says, ‘Yes, indeed, let’s drink.’ So the rabbi gets out some wine. They toast each other and the priest drinks his glass. But the rabbi doesn’t take a taste of his drink. Priest: ‘Why aren’t you drinking?’ Rabbi: ‘I’m waiting for the police.’

Goes along with my earlier thread re Talmudic Wisdom.

On the occasion of his twentieth anniversary with the synagogue, a Rabbi's congregation presented him with a new Lincoln Town Car.
Not to be outdone, the local Catholic church bought a new Cadillac for their Priest.
The two clergymen drove down the main street of the town, waving at their parishioners.
The Rabbi glanced up, saw that the traffic light was changing to red, and stopped. The Priest was still waving to the onlookers, did not see that the Rabbi had stopped, and smashed into the back of the Rabbi's new car.
The police arrived to take the accident report, and officer O'Brien said to the Priest, "Good afternoon father. And how fast was the Rabbi going when he backed into you?"

Sig2340AS an aside, all of the two lane roads in Great Falls are either 25 or 35 mph.
I suspect that person was driving a tad above the limit.

btanchorsA friend of my son's owns a body shop. I've taken my car in for occasional bumps and dings. The first time I went to the shop, the owner gave us a tour. It was a beautiful shop - very neat and clean, painted floor, everything organized, etc.
Then he motioned for us to come to a certain section of the shop, and asked us to put away our camera phones. I saw an entire row of Ferraris and Lamborghinis. They all looked new, or nearly new.
One of the vehicles was owned by a celebrity I will not identify. Overall, he said northern Virginia is a great place to have a high-end body shop, because there are LOTS of people who own exotic high-end vehicles. He also said you would never guess from the owners' appearance that they would own such vehicles. He said he had all the business he could handle.
That McLearen is in the same general area as this guy's shop, but I think it's beyond repair.

Skins2881Walker Rd is not a place to be speeding. 35 mph, one lane bridge, a complete 90* turn. Based on WaPo story it happened in 1000 Block of Walker road which is right next to the one lane bridge. Idiot.
This is 15 minutes or less from my house (and Sig2340's).
