Chinese ships salvaging from protected WWII wreck sites
Chuan Hong 68 is identified as a repeat offender. It's been documented by those who frequently dive these wrecks that steel is disappearing at an alarming rate. Remember, there is no private ownership in China, the Government and thus CCP owns a stake in any business.
IMHO, these should be stopped, boarded, all materials returned to the sites scavenged then take them out to deep water and use the ship for target practice.

I wonder how it would fly if we had a commander in chief who said publicly that any foreign vessel found salvaging an American WWII wreck would be fired upon and sunk.
I doubt they could go so far as to say there would be no life saving efforts provided to the crew. People would scream that is a crime but so is harvesting WWII wrecks/graves. It might make them think twice if a few salvage ships just vanished.
