I wonder how it would fly if we had a commander in chief who said publicly that any foreign vessel found salvaging an American WWII wreck would be fired upon and sunk. I doubt they could go so far as to say there would be no life saving efforts provided to the crew. People would scream that is a crime but so is harvesting WWII wrecks/graves.
