Sigforum turned me onto Duluth Trading several years ago, and I've been an on-line shopper ever since. I have never been to a brick & mortar Duluth Trading, but that is about to change as in the past month they've had Soft Openings at 2 stores in the Houston Metro Area:
  • Katy (West Houston) - Grand Opening March 8th
  • Friendswood (South Houston) - Grand Opening March 7th

It looks like in the past year they've also opened 2 in the DFW Metroplex and one in Lubbock too.

EDIT: Added links to coupons and grand opening dates

    Don't go!

If you step foot inside one, you will leave with a large load, though your wallet will be much lighter.

FYI, if you EVER put holes into any of their pants, just bring the pair(s) back to the store and they will exchange them for new pairs, no questions. I took a work trip to Portland, where they had a Duluth. I took 5 pairs of Fire Hose pants in and swapped them all out at once.

    Still none in NM. Frown

There are none around here that I know of. I was out of town several months ago, and there was one in the city I went to. I checked it out. May take is that the stuff is overpriced and nothing special. It's the same far eastern made crap every other clothing store sells.

This is true. I like their pants very much their double flex jeans are the best. They actually have pockets that one can fit your hands in.
The standard ballroom flex jeans have small pockets. The left pocket liner separates from the denim after about a year for me.
I have two pairs to swap out next time I am in Cincy.

They have Large Tall in most all their shirt styles which most folks do not.
Their regular prices are a tad high but they are pretty much always running 20% off on something. Just wait a couple weeks and what you want will be one sale.
I have a bunch of different stuff and for the most part quality i find to be much better than most.
Pretty much anymore all I wear is Duluth and LL Bean.

My only gripe is with the pockets like I stated before. But they swap them out easy.

DT is good about standing behind their stuff.
    Another DT plus:
Actual buttons. Lots of shirts I look at have tiny. tiny buttons. When did that trend start?

Duluth opened a store in OKC last fall.

I’m amazed at how consistently busy it is. They’re raking in the money.

There is one in Golden and one north of me, both stores are busy and they don't stock enough clothing in my size.

They're opening a DT store in NW Arkansas in a few months.

I'm excited. I have a bunch of their clothing, and there are a few other things that I've wanted, but held off on buying since I couldn't try them on first.

The Katy location is about 10 minutes from the house. I've been keeping an eye on it as they have been building it out. It will be very nice to have one so close!

They opened a retail store near me last fall. I fell in love with the flex cargo pants but found out they just discontinued them for a new version that I don't like as much.

Sounds like the voice of experience talking. What exactly did you purchase and take home to try?

I have purchased from many, though not "every other", clothing stores, and have found their products, and especially their service, to be quite different. It seems odd that their business would be doing so well if they sold the same crap everyone else sells, but even more overpriced. Perhaps it's those skinny FireHose pants they sell? Wink

If not for a somewhat local DTCS in our area, I never would have discovered the "trim fit" shirts. Really, just normal shirts without the extra bagginess added to them.

A pair of their sturdy trousers with 13 pockets routinely has me confused. They may go back at some point, for exchange for plain jeans. Plus my WxL are both the odd numbers, and most of their stuff is on even numbers only. The jeans have 'in between' on the waist.
