Good! It's long overdue IMO. I wish that our inept legislature would do the same.

WHAT THE TRUCK ‘Gross’ car accessory is banned under new law – and drivers could even be slapped with felony charge

DRIVERS who flaunt a certain car accessory could soon find themselves in serious legal trouble.

A new law is cracking down on items that many consider tacky, obscene, or just plain gross.

The law, backed by Republican lawmakers, expands rules around public decency.

Governor Brad Little signed House Bill 270 in Idaho this week, immediately making it illegal to publicly display fake breasts and other explicit novelty items.

The legislation updates Idaho’s indecent exposure law, which already prohibited showing genitals in public.

Now, the list includes female breasts, male breasts modified to appear feminine, fake breasts, and any item or toy shaped like genitals, Idaho Capital Sun reported.

----------

Years ago, when I was working in Great Falls, MT, we had a surgeon who had truck nuts on his rig. This guy was a real POS, who'd walk into the OR in cowboy boots covered in shit. Yeah...really. Our break room had windows overlooking the parking lot and I saw him pull in one day and realized who's truck it was. Once he was in the OR, I went out and removed said truck nuts from his vehicle. Thankfully, he never found out who did it.

I'm sorry, but I am sick and fargin tired of the vulgarity allowed in today's society. I can't imagine what it's like to raise young children nowadays and have to try to explain to them what truck nuts mean or what various bumper stickers with vulgar language mean. Damn, people! Show a little class would ya!

Truck nuts are tacky, but not really felony-worthy. Good grief.

And yes, Gustofer, I agree: our society has gone low-class in a hurry.

Politicians seem to have forgotten that they work for us, not the other way around.

More stupid legislation. Our politicians don't have any thing else to do?

Heaven forbid you take your wife and kids out to the farm or ranch. There might be a bull or two out there.

Btw, the truck deal is stupid I admit. But illegal, nah. Not even close.

What about the kid peeing, and all the foul language. Where does it end?

Why didn’t the chief of surgery pull his privileges?

Why didn’t the board fire him?

Why didn’t an anonymous tip get sent to the state medical board and the newspaper and TV?

Um, about that vulgarity ...

As silly and tasteless as these may be, a law against, them, let alone potentially a felony, is just ridiculous. Roll Eyes

This was an old timer who'd been around since God was a corporal and essentially "built" the place. He was untouchable. He, thankfully for the people of the community, retired not long after.

I was behind a truck today that had nuts, didn't bother me a bit, not uncommon around here. You would think politicians would have better things to worry about.

It's sad that it has to come to this, but when public shame is not enough (or is nonexistent nowadays), what other recourse is there?

Can we not get back to civility and conservative values? I'd be happy if that could happen without legislative action, but clearly it can't.

Yet flag burning is protected "speech" under The Constitution. Based upon the infamous 5-4 decision in Texas v. Johnson (1989), I doubt the Idaho law would survive judicial review.

"There ought to be a law!" is just a polite way of saying "I'm ok with the police killing you for this."

Conservativism is supposed to be about smaller government, right?

How are laws enforced? My gumdrop ration wont be reduced if I decide to toss some plastic balls on my minivan when I visit my brother in Idaho, that's for sure.

But…he’s right you know.

Authority, particularly government legal authority, comes at the end of a gun.

PJ O’Rouke said the same about taxation as a govt power in Parliament of Whores:
The other secret to balancing the budget is to remember that all tax revenue is the result of holding a gun to somebody's head. Not paying taxes is against the law. If you don't pay your taxes, you'll be fined. If you don't pay the fine, you'll be jailed. If you try to escape from jail, you'll be shot.
Thus, I—in my role as citizen and voter—am going to shoot you—in your role as taxpayer and ripe suck—if you don't pay your share of the national tab. Therefore, every time the government spends money on anything, you have to ask yourself, "Would I kill my kindly, gray-haired mother for this?" In the case of defense spending, the argument is simple: "Come on, Ma, everybody's in this together. If those Canadian hordes come down over the border, we'll all be dead meat. Pony up." In the case of helping cripples, orphans and blind people, the argument is almost as persuasive: "Mother, I know you don't know these people from Adam, but we've got five thousand years of Judeo-Christian-Muslim-Buddhist-Hindu-Confucian-animist-jungle-God morality going here. Fork over the dough." But day care doesn't fly:"You're paying for the next-door neighbor's baby-sitter, or it's curtains for you, Mom."

So Gustofer, are you going to kill your kindly, gray-haired mother when she hangs gonads off the back of the Buick?

Absolutely fucking asinine, and I hope it gets struck down in court ASAP.

A fucking FELONY? Are you shitting me? I wouldn't even be behind this being an infraction.

I LOVE truck nuts because they shout out loudly those whom I should stay away from. (I think they're fucking stupid, but seriously, a law against them?)

Roll up to the traffic light and ask "are you an electrician?" He said Controls Engineer - I grinned and said "I get it"
