The eye opening part of all this is how many members of the public are chomping at the bit to call the "rat line" and report people to the KGB.

The socialist party governors have all issued the most draconian orders it seems while Republicans have been far less restrictive.

That's the pattern. Socialists gain power for themselves under the guise of helping/serving/protecting the people.

Y'all realize that it was Passover a few days ago, and it went on without issue or anyone claiming, including yourselves, a "war on Judaism"? Christianity was a few thousand years late in celebrating the spring solstice. I think the kids the these days are calling it "cultural appropriation".

But if a bunch of high risk people want to gather in close quarters because it's their "right" it sounds like a self-correcting problem.

I think that public opinion is shifting. Most of the cops I know, which is quite a few, will not enforce these orders. Kentucky Sheriff’s will not go along with it, with few exceptions. KSP is in a tough place. The commissioner is a leftist, just like jljones said. The road troopers are not. Many people are tiring of King Andy’s daily dose of elitist bullshit.

That's good to hear. The good ones who took their oaths seriously need to start distancing themselves from these tyrants.

I would have refused in my day and when they reprimand, suspend or take any action I would have my union rep sitting in with me. When you take an oath to protect the constitution you need to have the Nads to follow through. The two troopers should feel the heat from their coworkers.

As far as the car owners go how the hell is the state going to prove who was in there for all I know the church said it was ok to use it to park there while their driveways were being worked on.

There are several times I have disagreed with your opinions, as I have with others. However, you are spot on this time—we are in a true crisis , not the covid 19 type, but a civil liberty crisis. This is their first step to getting us to agree or cave for the “good of all”. We must be very careful while trudging down this slippery slope or it might lead to where none Of us would like.

Kentucky gop voters sure got fucked in governor's race last fall. Louisville, Jefferson co, and Lexington, Fayette co, had 110% dem turnout and beat Bevin in a close race. Rest of the state was red except for the 2 lib cesspools. Bevin tried to slow the increase of teacher pensions and the teachers went to war. We all know there was fraud but rats in Kentucky hated Bevin like the press does Trump and Bevin got no gop support. As usual republicans caved without a fight.

Yes, civil liberties are being steamrolled and citizens needs to howl their disapproval. When the dust settles from the panic-demic, ensuring that our rights as American citizens are not shredded and ignored in future such instances should be one of our top-most priorities.

Many people see it happening now, but it's going to take a while for what is happening to our rights to sink in with a lot of folks, and after everyone comes out of their underground boonker, they need to exercise their voice as citizens. It is inadequate to describe what has happened to our rights in the past three months as 'wrong'; it goes far beyond wrong.

I refused to be saved from myself, and these people- despite their full confidence in their authority- cannot compel me to stay in my house or close my business or whatever, for my "own good." Nevertheless, they have shut down this nation's engine and working people are hurting. Far beyond wrong. I do not recognize their authority, but, unfortunately, enough people do.

KSP put out a social media statement claiming that they received 42 complaints of non-compliant church services, but found only one that was non-compliant. The post claims that "informational" flyers were posted on the windshields of the cars, and no enforcement action was taken. The last sentence says that "Vehicle information on which these flyers were placed was recorded".

And they are getting roasted in the comments for it.

Looks like Poor Lil' Andy shut got bitch slapped a bit by the Republicans in Kentucky;

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — "Republican lawmakers in Kentucky swept aside the Democratic governor's veto of a bill to require the state's residents to show a government-issued photo ID in order to vote.

Votes to override Gov. Andy Beshear's veto easily cleared the GOP-led Senate and House as lawmakers reconvened Tuesday for a wrap-up session amid the coronavirus outbreak."

It was a foregone conclusion that it was going to get overridden as it originally passed with a veto-proof majority. The General Assembly has a Republican “super majority” in both Houses of State Assembly.

“Daddy Andy” vetoed it so his “femboyband groupie girls” could further faun over him so he could run again in 2023 for re-election and be considered for National office (Presidency?) in 2024.
