I am really surprised that I can’t really find any reviews even on YouTube on this model. I can find them for the MV50 Dual View or weapon mounted, but not this one.

I just ordered this model so we will see how I like it and I will post a review with videos if I can. Supposedly you can record with the app. I have ALWAYS wanted a thermal device and finally decided to get one due to the discount.

Does anyone else have this model? I am waifor it to ship.

I received it and have not had much time to test it out, but will. It has a lot of color variations for different conditions. One thing I researched was the higher the quality, the higher detail you can see in the image. These thermal optics sold for $500, might show a blob of heat but you really don’t know what it is. I did take one test picture of one of my birds in low lighting and she stood out in the thermal imaging using the color mode I was using and the detail was good. I need to try more and from further distances.

I have messed around with it a little more and this seems to be a pretty solid device. I still need to look for a person. I need to have my wife or someone try to hide somewhere.

This is just a shot down my street and you can see the image quality is pretty good. You can see the heat still on the pavement. In each of these pictures I was using “Red Hot” imaging mode.

This was my neighbor’s air conditioning unit that you can see heat emitting from them.

Here is one picture of the vehicle from the neighbor across the street who must have recently gotten home. I don’t know when they got home, but you can see the engine and front brake area are hot.

Same with this other car from across the street.

To me, this is just another tool in the toolbox just like I plan to get a drone around the end of the year.

May I ask roughly what you paid for it. Have been considering getting something basic to allow for checking things out in the dark.

The list price is $2,500. I bought it because I was able to get it for $1,500. There are $500 thermal vision scopes out there but I have heard they do detect a heat signature, but the resolution isn’t that great to know exactly what it is.

This was in daylight. I was looking for one of the squirrels that live in my front yard. I couldn’t see him with the naked eye as he blended in. When I looked with the thermal, found him right away.

Went outside now in the dark and looked towards the park which is pitch black, and saw a guy walking his dog. Then heard something near me and it was a rabbit. This scope is pretty cool and who knows when it will come in handy.
