California LEO shot
I just heard that when he was transferred for transport they changed his cuffs to those of Corporal Singh's. Gotta love that. I think they should keep them on till his arraignment.

The liberal media is asking him questions about immigration to try to trap him, and he’s throwing it right back at them. He’s repeatedly saying that if California didn’t have its Sanctuary laws, this ILLEGAL immigrant repeat offender might not have been in this country to kill the LEGAL immigrant police officer,

This sheriff is showing some very large balls, and I was extremely impressed watching him.

He’s been an excellent Sheriff and has been treating ccw’s as shall issue.

Plus he is less than a week from retiring.

I hope that Sheriff runs for US Senate, Harris is going to be a national joke after she runs for president, and Feinstein is to old , ugly and mean to be a senator.

Zoom out a bit, you can see the relation to Bakersfield and Tijuana/USA-Mexico border.

Bakersfield is at the southern end of the central valley; a massive agricultural area that is home to a whole lot of Spanish speaking folks, a good chunk of them illegal. Nortenos and Surenos have been a problem here for a long time, the CA prison system is infested with them; this guy is just moving to a different world where he now has more cred than on the street. If he made it over Tejon Pass and into the LA Basin area, he would've found a lot more refuge and assistance amongst all the Surenos there.

Won’t be in CA. He’s bailing to Montana after retirement (next week).

Not surprised. Based on his press conference, he's a prime candidate for getting the hell out.

News reports: "Several people were also arrested on suspicion of helping Arriaga evade law enforcement."

Wouldn't that include the entire Democratic Party?

They arrested the brother in my town. Not sure his immigration status but I have a good idea.

Thumper, stay safe out there. I have a bud who is Stockton PD and has some rediculous stories. I hope the new sheriff is like the current one. I have several other friends that live in Modesto and Tracy and they all have CCW. I’m in alameda county and Hell would freeze before this sheriff issues any to the little people.

Seven people arrested in connection with providing aide to the suspect.

In all, seven people are in custody on suspicion of aiding Arriaga in what investigators said was his attempt to escape to Mexico. The others are Bernabe Madrigal Casteneda, 59; Erasmo Villegas, 36; Maria Luisa Moreno, 57; Arriaga’s 25-year-old brother Adrian Virgen; and a co-worker, Erik Razo Quiroz, 27, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

“They intentionally lied to us,” Christianson said of Virgen and Quiroz. “They provided information that was false all in an attempt to protect their brother.”
