FWIW the Spice House is the same family. However, back in 2017 the Spice House folks said they were not a political company and leaving politics out of it.

I refuse to give one cent to that grandstanding, preachy liberal asshole no matter how good his product is.

Order from The Spice House, that is his sister and a rival brand and she's made it clear that she's not out to demagogue any of her customers over their politics.

Why? I just don't understand why a company CEO would openly seek to alienate customers. If you're running a corporation with shareholders, those shareholders should make very clear this is unacceptable behavior.

The disgusting irony of this is that Penzy's has one of their only retail storefront operations in my hometown, Cedarburg, WI, which is one of the most staunchly Republican places in the midwest. Voted over 60 percent for Trump in both elections. The owner is a POS and a hypocrite.

It was Patty Erd, sister of Bill Penzey, until recently.

So long as the new owners of The Spice House also keep politics out of it I’ll stay a customer.

The new folks taking over from the sister may be quite normal and may follow the sister's model. Or not. I guess time will tell.

But, I thought our own Forum-member beancooker was the honcho of a spice-selling business. At least he was not long ago.

We've looked at his website and the stuff looked pretty darn good. We haven't made an order yet (sorry-just put it off), but when we do it'll be from there since we are pretty sure he's not too much of a lib.

We don't want to support anyone who seems so far away from reality as the brother and we like to support our own members here and on other forums we frequent when we can.

Around 2 or 2.5 years ago I was looking online for spices I could not readily find locally.

I ran across Penzey's spice website and I don't know what exactly happened, now I realize I must have clicked on a FOLLOW button to learn of sales, etc.

However, what that was was actually a bunch of the most hateful, venomous, trash mouthed, evil shits I've ever run across, before or since. I mean, it was totally shocking. Endless posts, all the time, of pure evil hatred IMO.

So, I posted a question, what's all this? I didn't subscribe for this? That's all I asked.

Immediately the horde descended on me and the vicious vile piled on me. I was immediately called a TRUMPER and GTFO and why are you here? You had to click on to join!

My next question, since I didn't know, was how to get off of this group? It got worse, I was called an idiot for being a Trumper and too stupid to unsubscribe.

I finally figured out how I happened to end up with such a shitty group and how to GTFO and away from those abominable awful aborent despicable excuses for human beings.

I vowed right then and there to NEVER buy anything from Penzey.

In retrospect, I think it was like dying and waking up in Hell, that's the level of evil vehement hate there.

I can't understand, but I do realize it exists, how people can live their life with such an immensely consumibng amount of white hot hatred.

Another option is the Savory Spice Shop (www.savoryspiceshop.com). I have been ordering from them for years and have been very satisfied. They have some really interesting blends.

A couple years ago, I got a Penzey's set as a gift. It is still sitting in my cupboard unused.

Of equal importance is the need for us to share this info with as many people like ourselves as possible. No doubt there are a lot of people that have no idea how this business perpetuates hate and division.

They have a brick and mortar store in Phoenix and it was on my list to go there one of these days. No more.

Savory Spice is the one I use, also.

I haven't gotten any political dribble from them.
