Perhaps we won't need the meteor after all. And it has the added benefit of just targeting fools and their progeny, plus the bonus of affecting mostly Californians (apologies to forum residents, but most of you should be immune and thus inherit the land)...

V-TailI have been thinking about selling sealed foil packets of dehydrated water. Ideal for hikers, backpackers, and for storing in your SHTF stash.
Lightweight, portable, easy to carry, does not take up much storage room at all.
When ready to use, just rehydrate by adding the contents of one sealed packet to five gallons of water.
Safe, easy, and convenient!

95flhrWe drink unfiltered, untreated, unsterilized "Raw water" here.

Living in the country the water comes from a well, the only filtering is through the dirt and in to the well.

Maybe I should start bottling it and make some money of of it.

ensigmaticI don't know about that, but I know my wife and I prefer our well water to most chlorinated city water.
It
is filtered through a 5 micro filter, though. And conditioned. And what we drink straight usually comes from one of our Brita pitchers.

You must be smoking something to actually believe all that BS.
Someone needs to explain to them that a portion of that water came from the sewage treatment plant, a nuclear power plant cooling tower, etc.

92fstechFrom the article: "Marketing materials show Mr. Singh (né Christopher Sanborn) sitting naked and cross-legged on a hot spring, his long brown hair flowing over his chest."
It's bad enough that these folks are drinking stuff that may be infested with ecoli and who knows what else. But knowingly drinking it after some nasty hippy has been sitting in it? No thanks...
Also, I have a well...the definition of off-grid water. If these folks want to pay me $14/liter for water, I'll gladly bottle some up for them. I won't even wash my balls in it first like that other guy...

Mr. Singh believes that public water has been poisoned. “Tap water? You’re drinking toilet water with birth control drugs in them,” he said. “Chloramine, and on top of that they’re putting in fluoride. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it’s a mind-control drug that has no benefit to our dental health.” (There is no scientific evidence that fluoride is a mind-control drug, but plenty to show that it aids dental health.)

So you are saying that fluoride has been associated with AIDS?

I think it's an awesome idea if it works as advertised and is cost effective. You could have clean water in remote villages, or California could buy a billion of them and stop importing water.
If it was $100, I buy it just for the novelty of it.

According to the website a standard 2 panel array, supposedly enough for 2-4 people is $4000. No thanks

There are many places in the world where the water that people use is not filtered and thus obviously not fluoridated (make that most places).
You just have to look at the state of their teeth and compare them to the teeth of an average American citizen.
The night and day difference should convince most people on the benefits of fluoride. Of course these are probably the same kooks who don't believe in vaccinating their kids against the most common diseases.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown
