No shock here, who voted for him...all the under 30's with their Ivy education in 14th century women's rights degrees. The same who occupied colleges to abolish Israel and chanted. Let's see where the money comes from for his free everything when your tax base goes to TX, FL, NH and KY. Bankruptcy in a year and will be like Detroit at the turn of the 21st century.

Funny thing about communism is that you can vote yourself into it, but have to shoot to get yourself out of it.

And they voted to disarm themselves.

You're so wise, you wring your hands and fret about things over which you have no control. Of course, in my ignorance, I am unable to grasp how your predictions of doom help even a single thing. This is doubly so in this case, since the outcome of the matter was so apparent, a blind man could see it coming.

I am puzzled, but I take great comfort in knowing that you are taking up the slack by doing the worrying for all of us, thereby affecting matters to our benefit.

So the DEMS won a few predictable elections.

The anti-MAGA loons came out in droves while most conservatives said…MEH.

…and, of course, the lefty-media is calling it a referendum to MAGA…

Typical local off cycle shit…

*yawn*

Three more years of winning folks!!

It's only winning if Republicans would get off their asses and codify all of the Executive Orders. But we all know that probably won't happen...

This is the one election that mattered, all the others were set in stone long ago.

CA will eliminate up to 5 R districts and that could really change the house, meaning, impeachment and disruption of Trumps last two years especially since R voters tend to not turn out in mid terms...

The Shadow of Terror: Zohran Mamdani’s Radical Islam Problem

Zohran Mamdani’s radical ties, antisemitic record, and allegiance to Tehran’s ideology make his NYC mayoral bid less about leadership—and more about loyalty.

New York City’s 2025 mayoral race has thrust Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old democratic socialist and New York State Assembly member, into the spotlight as the Democratic nominee. His candidacy, while historic as potentially the first Muslim and Indian-American mayor, raises serious concerns due to his (1) adherence to the Shi’a Twelver sect, (2) support of Hamas jihadist terrorists and its parent group, the Muslim Brotherhood, (3) rabid antisemitism, and (4) devastating economic implications of his socialist policies. Mamdani’s candidacy is a natural result of decades of failed NYC policies toward Islamists and jihadists, which have almost turned the city into a Muslim Brotherhood sanctuary. Mamdani’s candidacy is a symptom of a larger Islamist problem in NYC.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Don't forget that VA elected the first Muslim LT Governor as well, D worked hard to get NoVa to vote for their candidates, lots of money was spent in NY/NJ/VA.

The explanation isn’t complicated. It was turnout. In New York City, more than 2 million people voted— double the last mayoral election four years ago and approaching presidential levels. The inexperienced muslim socialist got more than 1 million votes for mayor, a benchmark not met since 1969.

Frankly I don’t understand why conservatives, up to and including President Trump were so wound up about this potentially happening. Gave the impression they were afraid, when the reality is we all know how this will play out. Just like what’s been happening in Commiefornia the drivers of economy will leave as business becomes unsustainable under the pressure of taxes and regulations and lack of law and order. That will result in either the raising of taxes, the reduction of government services, or both. It may not literally turn into Gotham but it will look a lot more like San Francisco or Portland with tons of shuttered businesses and dirty shit stained streets inhabited by drug addicts and homeless.

I remember when Dinkins was mayor of NYC and it turned into a cesspool. This fool will make it worse than that.

Dinkins begat Giuliani as mayor. I’d expect a similar result once the city sinks.

Yep, on some things I am.

Welcome them here - to our own peril.

Let's see how it plays out.

As I recall several years ago, you posted a thread about reading the quran. Did that ever happen? If so, what did you gather from it?

Play games with someone else.

No one here is "welcoming" anyone, anywhere. You behave as if you're the only one around who recognizes the dangers of Islam and communism, and that is biggest joke of all.

You think worrying about things over which you have no control is somehow effective, and because no one else here is jumping up and down over that which was obviously going to happen, means we're fools, but the foolishness in this instance belongs to you.

You guys are upset that NYC will become a 2nd tier city and Wall Street will potentially move to Florida or Texas to escape his tax increases? Really?

NYC is filled with 60's/70's leftists like my jewish aunt who are true believers in socialism, thought Bush was Hitler, and now Trump, and support every leftist cause you can imagine. Add them to the immigrants and young and it's a guaranteed win for a socialist. They will only learn by seeing the negative results of what they asked for, but even then they STILL will not learn.

Rent control is a massive benefit to some people in NYC, paying far lower than market rents. As a result, the non-rent controlled apartments are even higher in cost than they would be at market rates. The answer is to eliminate ALL rent control, encourage construction of new units, and let the market stabilize. But their answer to half-assed socialism making things worse is MORE socialism.

Mass transit will be in a financial hole if they stop charging fares. And government run grocery stores will fail spectacularly like they do everywhere else.

Governor of NJ was guaranteed win for the democrat. Virginia was closer, but not that surprising. Black conservatives are more hated by leftists than white conservatives. NOVA democrats are obviously unhappy with DOGE layoffs and the shutdown cutting of their paychecks.

CA Prop was guaranteed to pass. CA will eliminate Republican a few districts, but maybe this will convince the RINO's in other states to redistrict to maximize Republicans seats rather than "play fair" which never works. Republicans will still pick up seats in 2026 because there is a lot more opportunity on our side.
