OzarkwoodsThinking of a separate DOGE thread
I thing DOGE thread would be great pinned to the top. There is so much being done by DOGE that having it all grouped in one area so we don’t have to look in the V Trump thread.

chellim1So... is everything DOGE does going to be in a new thread?
Should there be a dedicated DOGE thread?

cparktdThrowing my insignificant 2¢.
No real opinion but I think it would be difficult to enforce... the two being so interconnected.
Maybe the rate of posting in the Trump thread will slow once the giddiness of so much winning calms down?
Not gonna second guess the boss either way.
Just grateful to have a sane place to come visit...

There's nothing to enforce:

again, if this thread is created, it doesn't mean DOGE stuff would have to cease being posted in the Trump thread.

Pipe Smoker“Barack Obama's plans to cement his legacy hit another hurdle as Elon Musk's DOGE canceled the lease for a building in Chicago holding his presidential records.
It was the latest setback for the former president as he and his wife Michelle are fighting back against rumors of divorce.
The storage site being closed by Musk is at Hoffman Estates in the northwest of Chicago and is run by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
NARA began leasing the building in 2016, paying $1.4 million a year in rent, according to the General Services Administration.
It is separate from the 9.3-acre, $830 million Obama Presidential Center in the city's south side, which is scheduled to open next year.
The Obama President Center has been jinxed from the start as it faces lawsuits, ballooning costs and construction delays. …”

trapper189I’m confused, is the space who’s lease is being cancelled in Chicago or Hoffman Estates which is out past Schaumburg?

armoredIts in the town of Hoffman Estates. On the far edge of Cook County, NOT in Chicago.
