I can feel sympathy for Gabby Giffords. She suffered (suffers?) neurological damage as a result of her gunshot injuries. What was done to her, following that, I blame entirely on her family, her friends, and her despicable POS husband, Mark Kelly.

Agreed. She is sympathetic. Her husband used her to advance his own ambitions.

Give me a break. When Mccarthy dumped his running mate because of treatment for depression several decades ago, that was news. Depression is on the news constantly.

I think this is how they are angling to replace him which has been the plan since he had the stroke.

Depressed? LMAO!

He was a bum who rarely showed up to work as the PA Lt. Governor and he’s a rich trust fund kid with this carefully crafted persona of “the average Joe” with the shorts and hoodies. Guy never worked an honest day in his life.

"Lieutenant Governor" is probably the least significant elected office in the state. The members of the local sewer commission have more discretionary authority and unquestionably more impact on the quality of my life. Pretty much the only thing Fetterman had to as Lieutenant Governor was chair the Board of Paroles and virtually every vote he made in that capacity was dead-ass wrong. Everything he touched as city mayor turned to crap, and he had no other meaningful work experience. Trust-fund baby into his 40s.

The only things he had going for him as a Senate candidate were the (D) next to his name, the ball-washing fawning from the media that comes with that initial, and early/mail-in voting that mostly happened before the otherwise supportive media started reporting that Fetterman was actually a potted plant.

Meanwhile, the only things Oz had going for him as a candidate were a) He wasn't Fetterman and b) Trump endorsed him. Neither was enough to get conservatives to leave their driveway, so the imbeciles won by default. The imbeciles have precisely one job every year, and that's to push the "D" button for whatever election is up/running. And they do it with religious devotion.

I thought this Fetterman fella was a recovering dope head or mentally off. In either case, I guessed correctly. Have mercy on us Lord!

I think you mean George McGovern, who asked Thomas Eagleton to withdraw as his running mate in 1972.

We didn’t. And I don’t buy this nonsense from the Oz haters that he was a “bad candidate”. He wasn’t and we lost ONLY because we are still playing the game by pre-2020 norms; you go to rallies and you go and vote for your guy or gal on Election DAY…in person.

Meanwhile, the Democrats have perfected the art of turning Election Day into Election MONTH with massive early voting, massive ballot harvesting, all designed to work in their favor.

Oz DESTROYED that vegetable at that debate but by then it was too late as they purposefully held it late in the game and they only broadcast it to the Pittsburgh region on TV so if you didn’t look for a streaming option, you never even saw it.

There’s something very off about this whole situation and Twitter started to trend this past weekend about a rumor that Fetterman’s condition is far worse than they are letting on, then you have the wife doing this?

Why would they lose a seat? Doesn’t the D PA legislature get to appoint his successor? So they lose a vote for a week. Big deal.

I’m from PA and I probably didn’t vote for Fettertard. To clarify, the marks on the ballot I turned in were for his opponent.

In PA, the Governor appoints the replacement w/o restriction according to Pew Research. He's probably taking bribes like a true Commie to decide who gets appointed to D.C.

The Governor would appoint a replacement until a special election could be held which to my understanding would be Election Day 2024.

Unfortunately, elections don't seem to really mean much anymore. Whether it is due to fraud, or the fact that voters inexplicably choose incompetent candidates.

Also, in the case of PA, it looks like the Dem strategy of early voting combined with a debate too close to election day swayed the outcome.

You guys in PA need to start applying pressure to the Governor to get this in motion once Fetterman announces he cant fulfill his duties. I guarantee you the Democrat party is already working to prepare for a special election and caretaker Senator.

^^^'You guys' (a.k.a. OUR guys) in PA basically have ZERO influence here. The Governor is a Democrat, and will NOT be swayed by ANY pressure coming from ANYONE (or any group) on the Right regarding a replacement Senator/appointment! The best hope in PA (and the US Senate!) IS for a Special Election...

Honestly, as far as the 2020 Election strategy of the Democrat Left was concerned, IMO the whole point of getting Fetterman elected was so that they COULD replace him if and when the opportunity arose!

LOL

The state legislature is now Democrat majority

The new Governor is a Democrat

You think they give a rat’s ass what we all think?

No, they’ll do whatever the hell they want and that’s that.
