I'll say this about Maher. When he's on point, he's pretty darn good. And that was pretty much right on the nose.

My kids have watched a ton of his videos.
Seems like genuine generosity. There was 1 that they accidentally hit a guy's car in a parking garage, went to Walmart & camped out until the guy came back & gave him well over the value of the car to cover the repairs.

Para I figured your update was about the most recent giving back Mr. Beast did, which has drawn criticism from those who thrive on suffering and misery. In case you haven't seen it, here it is:

Why Mr. Beast Is Under Fire for Bringing Clean Water to 500,000 Africans

quote:
He’s cleaned up our oceans, planted 20 million trees, and fought hunger by feeding needy people in communities across the US. In his latest effort, Mr. Beast built 100 wells in Africa, bringing clean drinking water to an estimated 500,000 people in countries from Kenya to Cameroon to Zimbabwe.

Not everyone is happy with Mr. Beast’s latest campaign, however, or his broader philanthropic efforts.

One Kenyan politician told CNN Mr. Beast’s well campaign fed the perception that African countries are “dependent on handouts,” while the founder of a charity complained that “a white male figure with a huge platform…gets all of the attention.”

Jimmy Donaldson, also known as MrBeast, has an estimated net worth of around $54 million in 2023 according to Forbes1. However, other sources estimate his net worth to be around $50 million2 or even $100 million3. These estimates are based on his earnings from YouTube and other ventures such as his restaurant concept, MrBeast Burger1. Please note that these figures are estimates and the actual net worth may vary.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, funded cataract surgeries for 1,000 people1. The cost of such a surgery can vary greatly depending on several factors such as location, type of procedure, insurance coverage, and surgeon experience2. However, estimates suggest that the cost per eye can range from about $3,5003 to $6,0004. Assuming an average cost of $5,000 per eye2, the total cost for 1,000 people (2,000 eyes) could be around $10 million2. Please note that these are rough estimates and the actual cost could vary. It’s best to consult with healthcare providers and insurance companies for more accurate cost estimates2

Wow! Good for him!

At the core of the preposterous anger and indignation of his critics is not that he's rich; it's that he's a white male.

Witness the rationale of the complainers after he had wells dug in Africa which brought fresh water to millions of people: a "colonialist" essentially outshining Africans. No, really. They're upset because whitey came in and showed up native Africans. It's funny, isn't it, how they could work up the gumption to bitch, but not to actually help their own people. That tells you so much.

The battle which has been shaping up for decades now- and which we see in the United States, the UK and other places, including Israel- yes, I said Israel, comes down to the impending conflict forecast by the ancient Essenes in the Dead Sea Scrolls: The Sons of Light versus the Sons of Darkness.

Yes, you read that right, and yes, it means what it looks like it means, and it will be they who force our hand.
