I feel like most of us would be profiled as conservative white men just based on our age and appearance. I'm in a red state, but the crazies are all over. I'm absolutely committed to avoiding confrontation, so my attire is ridiculously generic. I don't wear any type of slogans or emblems on my clothing... even merchandise with my employer's logo. I don't want anything about me to generate the desire from others to interact.

Go to see the Philadelphia Eagles and proudly wear the jersey of another team. Be sure and sit in their section. You will probably be featured on the Jumbotron.

^^ I went to a Philadelphia Eagles vs. NY Giants game back in the late '80s at Veterans Stadium. The two of us were wearing Giants jerseys, which seemed like a good idea when we headed out to Philly that AM, but were were young and didn't always think things through. Our tickets were for Upper Level seats in the corner of the End Zone and the Eagles fans in our our section, as well as a couple/few sections on either side were all chanting "throw 'em off the top!" Eek

Good Times... Wink

I frequently wear my Turning Point '47' hat, that I got from Charlie Kirk, around town and, so far, no negative comments and frequent thumbs up. Not long ago I was wearing my '45 47' hat in Costco, when I was getting one of their hot dogs, and a guy sat down at my table wearing a MAGA hat. We had a very nice conversation. (BTW, best lunch deal anywhere... foot long hot dog and soda for $1.50)

Behind the tofu curtain I wear an OD cap with a subdued black outline of the American flag. Get an occasional odd-mildly-hostile look but nothing beyond that. The hatred of President Trump is the only platform they have. If Trump bashing comes up I drift back to the coup when Biden was sidelined. That ends the conversation. Do have an UZI Does It t-shirt I wear for specific friends.

The county I am in (north of Seattle proper) isn’t quite as far left as Seattle. Trump got almost 40% of the vote in this are compared to Harris’ 58% while the split in King County to the south was 22%/75%.

I have worn this hat to Costco and other outings in the area several times. Almost always get the subtle nods of approval.

Uuum…you realize that you were doing this several times, right? I have no problem with what you said to her after she insulted your hat; she should keep her rude opinions to herself, but the later interactions were unnecessary and on you…

Yes, I continued the conversation she started. Her original comment was made just after entry. She was with another woman who looked a little older. I’m polite to a point, but more than happy to engage in debate if someone wishes to start.

What part of "...Shall not be infringed" don't you understand???

I had a guy tell me that I was going to Hell when he saw the Masonic square and compass on a wind shirt I was wearing.
I don't wear anything political or gun related, and nothing to identify on my truck.

The conservative attire I wear is a pistol, so not many leftist political loons come to speak to me.

A few years ago, when the world was less crazy, I would wear my Liberalism find a cure t-shirt. I woman came up to me and said that shirt isn't funny. I said no it isn't, this is very serious. But don't worry we have people working around the clock trying to find a cure for you poor people, and in the mean time, I'll keep praying for you. For some reason she didn't think that was funny either.
Now, I don't give anyone a reason to come after me, but I try to be prepared if they do.

I don’t like to advertise for anyone.
Plain shirts if possible. Hardly ever wear a cap or hat.
Nothing on my truck past the factory stuff.
I don’t make new friends easily.
I have enough drama in my life w/o trying to attract more.
I do not enjoy confrontation, especially if I am carrying a firearm.

Only thing I own that makes a statement is a 47 ball cap and I wear it selectively. Only flag sticker on my vehicle is a Catalan one - just to confuse the hell out of people.

I went to my 50th college reunion this past June. I knew I would be in a minority but also knew who I could talk frankly with. Most people seemed to realize they were there to see people we knew back then and remember those times. You knew this might be the last time you saw them since too many had already passed. There was no political talk I witnessed though one woman's car was still plastered with Harris/Walz stickers.

At home in SoCal, I usually avoid wearing clothing with political images or text.
However we spend part of our time in the Sierra foothills east of Sacramento, which--for now--has a GOP congressman.
I wore my "Make Orwell Fiction Again" T-shirt to the local library; on the way out an Asian lady screeched on her brakes, dropped her window, and asked me where she could get one. At the coffee bar also got positive comments from owner and a customer.
We're in the process of moving up there. Half an hour to the Sac Valley range. I can't wait.
Here in San Diego, two doors down is the enemy: a nice guy who has had a George Floyd poster on his door since 2020, and a Ukrainian flag since 2022. He told my neighbor across the street, a pro-Trump retired Navy and Southwest pilot, that he didn't said pro-trumpet walking. on his side of the street when he goes out for walks--doesn't want a "racist" near him.
I won't miss that, for sure.

Hard to think of anywhere in NorCal where you'd find less leftists than in SoCal LOL probably out in the country areas away from Sacramento...

Don't wear or advertise political things for the most part, although I did wear a Trump Dancing QR code shirt this weekend to a motorcycle gathering.

I wear this on Fridays at work to irritate the two demorrhoids. One reported to HR that I and another employee "triggered" her talking about scary guns at break. Everyone but me was interviewed as HR knew I would just walk in and demand to have her fired. They actually put on the writeup that I was not in the building.

She got sat down and told that Georgia is a free state and sports discussions are allowed and a malicious reporting is a terminatable offense.

Love this.

If only all HR / mgmt were like this, whether they are gun owners or not. Everybody should support freedom and natural rights to the fullest extent, regardless of political leaning.

I have a shirt with what looks like an AR on it. It’s actually kitchen utensils arranged in the shape of an AR. Some useful idiot was about to take umbrage at Costco but then she saw the actual items and didn’t know what to do. A different dingbat said something about there being kids around. I told her it was a tee shirt and that she was freaking out over a tee shirt and might need to check her meds. I have no desire to engage the leftists.
