That cupholder seems to have a pretty firm grip!

Glad you're ok. Had that happen once a couple years ago, damn deer was in seek mode, I had nearly come to a stop.

Good to know you’re OK. Friend of mine from Canada got nailed by a moose. It didn’t buff out.

I hit a deer in our 2017 Suburban 1yr after buying it new, hit the doe's head with the driver's side headlight and it spun the body into the driver's side door, initiating the side airbags. New bumper, headlight, fender, headliner, door and side airbags, which included the driver's side seat ran some $12,000 and took some 6 weeks to source the parts. The side airbag gave me a friction burn to my arm that was kinda nasty and our whole family was in the car when it happened.

A year later I had almost the same type of hit in a 2003 Silverado but it didn't spin into the door (no side airbags anyway), it cost some $1200 for a new bumper, grill and headlight and was done in 3 days, would have been quicker but a body shop employee backed into my bumper so they had to replace that too.

After those incidents, I became less picky deer hunting and just aimed to fill my tag no matter what. If its brown, its down. I've cooled down since. I just got back from opening rifle season in MO empty-handed.

As I'm sure you already know, you can't drive more than a mile or two without seeing Deer on I-55 between Memphis and Jackson at certain times of the year. They are everywhere.
