I just renewed my passport (haven't received it yet though) and this time decided to get the passport card specifically to use in lieu of my driver's license for most things, domestic flying being one of them. Not because my DL isn't real ID compliant (Utah has been compliant for as long as I can remember getting my license in Utah), but so that people checking my ID don't see any unnecessary personal information about me like my home address (thanks, V-Tail, for that idea). ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Never had that issue at my small home airport of Moline IL (MLI). Before I retired as an Army civilian, I used my CAC all the time. Now I use my retired mil (ANG) card, no issues at all. Inconsistency seems to be common with TSA.
