Surfing YouTube shorts (a person could get lost for hours...) and saw a rig you mounted an oscillating saw in to make vertical plunge cuts. Similar to a plunge cut for a router. There have been a number of situations where such a thing would have been handier than a pocket on a shirt. I've tried everything I can think of for a search phrase and can't find anything. Suggestions? Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

The Festool plunge base works great, but only with their oscillating tool or the similar Fein. _________________________ “Good intentions will always be pleaded for every assumption of authority. It is hardly too strong to say that the Constitution was made to guard the people against the dangers of good intentions. There are men in all ages who mean to govern well, but they mean to govern. That's it! I tried every combination of "plunge xxx" I could think of but never tried "base". Now to see if anybody but Fe$$tool makes one... Be careful when following the masses. Sometimes the M is silent.

Here's a guy who makes one for the Dewalt Oscillating tool. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1...ulti-tool-plunge-cut I don't see a lot of choices.
