Mother frets her own daughter is 'bad for the earth'

A Washington Post analysis piece promoted climate guilt over having children, telling the story of one mother who "couldn’t shake the feeling that, by giving birth, she might be doing something bad for the earth." 

Meera Sanghani-Jorgensen, a mother of one 13-year-old daughter, claimed she "felt weighed down by the consumption of her children before they were even born" in a story headlined, "Should you not have kids because of climate change? It’s complicated."

The article also recounted Sanghani-Jorgensen’s carbon arithmetic on the cost of her daughter’s birth. "She thought about the diapers, the party favors, the toys, and the billions of tons of carbon emissions warming the planet every year." 

As a result, she and her husband "decided that having a child — a single child — could fulfill their desires without putting undue burden on an overheating world."

It's as misanthropic (and insane) a view as ever you will see: Let's just get rid of the human race, so that Earth will be a better place for the squirrels and whatnot.

I have met a few teen children who are bad for the earth, and the rest of us, but it had nothing to do with the climate...

Even amongst the MASSIVE virtue-signalling, there is plenty of hypocrisy. Sure, having kids is murdering the planet, yet they figured having a SINGLE child could 'fulfill their desires.'

So, they ADMIT that their selfish desires were more important to them than 'saving the planet.'

That's like saying they only murdered the planet a LITTLE bit, since, you know, they wanted a kid. . .

Look at it this way, if the enviro-Nazis stop having children, the problem will fix itself.

If the parents were true believers 1 of them would permanently remove their carbon foot print when the child was born.

There’s a child who must feel loved and appreciated. Imagine the environmental damage when she riots and sets fire to the city.

They could have adopted an already existing child. That would have covered the three “R”s: reduce, reuse, recycle. Well maybe not the third one until they were done with the child and turned it in for processing.

That should be reported to CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES as indica of abuse.

And I loathe ALL Child Protective Services agencies.

She already has a 13 year old so its a little late for concern about the climate. The only desires they were trying to fulfill was fucking and, oops! Here comes another one. They come about as a human first then 7 or 8 decades later, a fossil. A contribution to earth.

The victim is not the Earth, but the poor kid who didn't have a choice to be born to these assholes.

If the climate crazies would simply do the right thing and remove themselves from the planet, we would meet all of their carbon goals through population reduction.
