The MAJOR problem with the Oculus VR Headsets is the requirement to be actively logged in to a Facebook account...So, NO!

A preferable alternative, albeit more expensive, is the Valve Index by Steam. While one of the draws of the Oculus is that its a lot cheaper, YOU are the product!

My concern is that Facebook owns Oculus, and, if Facebook's historical behavior is any guide, they're almost certainly mining every last bit of any even remotely useful--as they define "useful"--information you browse.

Tomminator has one, he uses it for games(he’s 13) and for looking at the internet…which equals silly videos on u-tube

Very cool device.

You have a VR headset, and you chose Sig Forum to test it. Of all the things on the internet to see in VR, you chose this. I suppose that's a good thing.

I have had one for a bit. I signed up with a burner facebook account at the time. You no longer need one. What's hilarious is they say it's for your safety to have the FB connection however when I delinked it from the burner account they talked to me as the fake account holder who I am nothing like. Stellar security. The oculus itself is great and its perfect if you travel.

Cool. Enjoy the new headset.
I bought my Occulus Rift before they were bought out by FB. I have no FB account.
I use the VR headset when I play Project Cars 2. Mind blowing realism. Resolution and clarity is good (1980 x 1020) per eye. It won't be "flawless" until we get the hardware (CPU, GPU, Headset lenses) to deliver 8K per eye

PSA from one of our owners - do NOT let anyone prone to migraines give these a test drive. His wife did a couple weeks ago and after 90 seconds had a debilitating headache. Laying on the floor in pain and throwing up sort of debilitating.

Once they started a brief search, lots of info out there on this, probably a warning in the box that we've been conditioned to overlook due to the stupid stuff usually written there.

I play DCS with a VR headset (Reverb G2). Motion sickness was a problem for a few days at first but now I can't imagine 'flying' with out it.
