Please do share an alternative paragon of virtue, truth and facts in the media that we should should be getting our news from considering how flawed you seem to find Tucker Carlson.

Any chance this statement reveals a potential basis for what may have influenced your opinion of Tucker Carlson? He is certainly NO supporter of the 'As long as it takes, whatever it costs' policy of the US .gov in Ukraine, and VERY vocal about it!

Well, netnine is not entirely wrong on Tucker. The man (Tucker) does know where and how his bread is buttered and he taylors his program to those donors.

He (Tucker) lost me on his rabid attacks on Ukrainian "corrupt Nazis". You don't have to agree, necessarily, with sending multiple billions of dollars to their war effort, but siding with the Russians is beyond the pale for me...and apparently netnine.

I don't much care for Eric Bolling either, but he's getting my viewing at 6PM these days.

^^^You're falling for the propaganda put forth by the Legacy State Media if you think Tucker is or has been 'siding with the Russians'...

Siding with them may be a bit extreme, but his practically making out with Col. Macgreger, who is most certainly a Russian apologist, is telling enough.

Did you ever think that both sides are wrong in the war in Ukraine?

He makes that very clear…the fact you can’t see it is your fault, not his.

But all you see is, HE IS anti-Ukraine, so he MUST BE for the Russians.

We are being dragged to a potential nuclear war by supporting a war between two of the most crooked countries on Earth.

I agree.

There was no need for this stuff, guys. If any of you felt there was cause for concern in this thread, you could have reported it to me.

Carlson's style chafes me a bit, for whatever that's wrth to you.

In an effort to be even-handed, I shut down the row in this thread, but then, this morning I get an email from this member to delete his account "permanently". Oh, permanently, as opposed to deleting it temporarily. Roll Eyes

Here's the thing, though- let's say that this guy was too imperceptive to read threads in the Lounge before registration, which clearly indicate the political tenor of this forum. That's difficult to believe, but it's possible that someone could be that clueless and register for this place thinking that being a Trump hater would fly. Unlikely, but possible.

But, it turns out in this instance that the guy had been here before: https://sigforum.com/eve/forum...880076694#4880076694

NetNine registered here with the full knowledge of what to expect should he stick his toe in the political waters around here, and he did it anyway and within a handful of posts, he got involved in political discussion and didn't like the result, throwing out a "MAGA" reference. Uh huh.

So, yeah, that's trolling.

And for your information, NetNine, we do not delete accounts in this forum, because if we did, the name of that account would once again be available for registration. So, rather than pulling this unnecessary shit of asking for a "permanent account deletion", just log off and don't come back. You were here ten years ago? Then, you're not a kid, so don't behave like one.

And I wouldn't be surprised to find out that your first account was banned.

He was here during the Obama era, and right now, there are four threads pinned to the top of the Lounge chronicling the Trump presidency, but oh, he's surprised at the political tenor in this forum.

Nope. I'm not buying it.

Well NetNine, I agree with you to a degree.
Sometimes it's not what you say it's how you say it.

However, how can you wonder in to a gun forum and and what do you expect from the membership which may just be largely conservative?
Then, to start poking them with a stick and not have them react?

You want to make some respectful comments or just do you want to start some shit?

Not everyone here feels the same way about certain media types on the right but universally know they are at least pointed in the right direction - so to start whacking them personally is not going to do anything to further your cause.

Why not just stick to the points rather than just spewing your hate for Tucker Carlson.
The normal tactic for leftists is to attack them personally and avoid the facts - pretty much what you are doing.

So what are we now supposed to do when you come in with guns blazin'? Confused

NetNine uses Business Insider as his/her source, one of the most lefty of leftist sites. I think my quote from Tucker fits him/her well. Maybe it’s Alexander Vindman?

Ha Ha!! Yep.

Tucker Carlson comes closest, IMO, to Rush Limbaugh in exploring topics the media doesn't want to talk about, inviting both sides, and using humor to draw out the left.
Rush used to push lib callers to the front of the line and had some fun with them. Tucker invites Fauci and Adam Schiff and the rest of them but they are usually too afraid to go on his show.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
