Chick-Fil-A or Poyeye's? Look for these these in the freezer section of your grocery store. Good stuff! Just stick 'em in the air fryer for 17 minutes, put them on a sandwich roll, and Bob's Your Uncle. ![]() Definitely in the same ballpark as Popeye's or Chick-Fil-A, and they're as close as your freezer. Saves time and gas. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Pooblay?, Wind Dixie?, Aldi? Pick up the Brioche Buns at Aldi's and their spicy pickle slices and you'll never wait in line at Chicfila's again.. ![]()

Thanks I’ll check those out. My son loves pretty much every chicken sandwich so he’ll certainly love those too. And I’ll second the ALDIs brioche buns. They are really good. “Everybody wants a Sig in the sheets but a Glock on the streets.” -bionic218 04-02-2014

These are good too: ![]() And while not spicy, the best frozen breaded chicken breast filets I've found are Aldi's red bag: ![]()

Thank you Very little ![]() |
Yeah the thing about the Aldi's chicken breasts are you can never find them in the stores, and we've got 200 in FL, a new one right by us and never in stock, same for the atomic spicy pickle slices, https://www.aisleofshame.com/c...hick-fil-a-sandwich/

Huh. Except at the height of the pandemic chicken shortage, I've never had an issue finding the red bag chicken at my local Aldi. Red bag chicken makes for great chicken sandwiches, but also works really well for stuff like adding sliced chicken to a salad. And I use them all the time to make lazy man's chicken parmesan. Cook one or two of the chicken filets in the air fryer or oven as directed. While they cook, warm up a cup or two of Aldi pasta sauce on the stovetop. (I like their Giardiniera version, since it has a spicy kick.) Once the chicken is cooked in the oven, top with the warmed pasta sauce, grate on some parmesan cheese, and hit it with the broiler for a couple minutes until the cheese is melted. ![]()

Might just be here, finding the red bag chicken fee-lays is impossible... maybe the local Chick-Fee-lay guy is buying them up, SIL worked for ALDI and couldn't get them either.. I like the looks of that sauce, will get some next time...

Totally off topic, but that’s not a food I would have expected you to enjoy. ![]() __________________ Member NRA Member NYSRPA

I've never been to either fast food place so I wouldn't know how they taste. I used to love spicy food but it tears me up any more. Only fast food I do is McDonald's and that's maybe every 2 months or so. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

Don't know about Winn-Dixie, something about that chain that I don't like, so I usually don't go there. I found the Just Bare product at Publix. They have quite a few chicken type items of that brand, some heat-and-eat like the spicy filets are in the freezer section, and some raw chicken products in the meat (poultry) butcher section. הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Only thing I have around me is HEB and an Aldi I never go to. I will have to look for these and try making my own sandwiches as I do like them. NRA Benefactor Life Member

When Popeyes first opened here in town the chicken sandwiches were great. Now they just taste like fish! And I know we aren't the only ones that think this. Chick-Fillet (SP?) sandwiches are really good especially the spicy sandwiches but are expensive. Our local KFC sandwiches are really good, maybe even better than the chick fillet but they don't offer a cheese option.

Does Popeye's offer fish on their menu? If so, it sounds as if they aren't changing the grease in their fryers every day. Just a WAG

I didn’t think that Popeyes served fish but I just looked it up and they serve both shrimp and as of February or March they serve Flounder sandwiches. Now I do like that grease laden Long John Silvers menu and I know I’m picky but I don’t want my chicken to taste like fish!

This could be remedied, but you'd have to go through the trouble of lodging a complaint with Popeye's corporate. That grease is supposed to be changed either at end of last shift or before first shift.

I sure do like spicy chicken sandwiches. Like mine with pepperjack, lettuce, tomato and mayo. Simple yet delicious. _____________
