If you're an NRA voting member, your ballot is in the February issue of your NRA magazine. The election ends soon, so now is your chance to vote. NRA President Bob Barr has brought together a team of experienced Second Amendment leaders to run with him in this NRA Board of Directors election. He believes that these are the best candidates to work with him to continue guiding the NRA forward in the coming year. He has prepared a list of these recommended candidates and he tells us why these are the best ones to be elected. Please see his List of Recommended Candidates Please remember that your ballot must be received by April 6th, so please mail it no later that March 27th to make sure that your ballot is counted.

I personally would be very skeptical of this list.

Fugg the NRA. Wish I had every dime I ever gave them back and they can stick my lifetime membership where the sun doesn’t shine! Every single person who has been in any sort of leadership role with the NRA since WLP has been in power is 100% complicit in his behavior.

Would it be too much to ask, to have DOGE do a once-over on the NRA, so I can go back to supporting and liking the NRA again?

Oh, hell no on parroting Bob Barr's list We have an ongoing 4-page thread on actual reform candidates for NRA board. A NRA board member (Frustrated Middle Child) on the rebellious side even posted several times. Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity DISCLAIMER: These are the author's own personal views and do not represent the views of the author's employer.

Bob Barr and the people on his "list" are part of the group who propped up Wayne LaPierre and failed completely in their fiduciary duty to any responsible governance of the NRA. As tatortodd said, refer to the previous thread and consider voting for the real reform candidates on the ballot.

He’s barking up the wrong tree… I think we’ve all already voted for the reform candidates. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor

The NRA has already made financial reforms since 2018, which were acknowledged by the Court in the recent case. The case ended because the reforms were found acceptable to the court as sufficient to prevent any recurrence of financial improprieties by faithless executives. This article The Reforms Already Made provides details of the reforms made that were acknowledged by the court. These are the true reformers.

The comments below your linked article are interesting. I have nothing personal against former U.S. Congressman Bob Barr, except he's been there a long time and supported Wayne LaPierre: Those that got you into the mess are not the ones to get you out of the mess. Apparently you didn't read the cited article about the reforms already made. Go back and read the link. Also, the court acknowledged that the reforms already made were deemed effective in "getting out of the mess". So, we don't need to "get out of the mess" because we have already gotten out of the mess. WLP is gone and there are many safeguards in place to prevent any return of financial misdeeds.

![]() Repair, Restore, Rebuild, Revive, Reform ... blah, blah, blah... from the people who have been covering for Wayne LaPierre and his inner circle for 20 + years. "Some things are apparent. Do you realize that the so-called "reform" candidates that you are supporting are led by people who were the biggest Wayne LaPierre supporters for many years?
