It looks like the Girlfriend was the target of a robbery. The Judge just happened to be there and get killed.

There was a spot on the morning radio news today about the Mayor or some Chicago honcho saying that this was an attempted robbery and DEFINITELY NOT related to any gang activity. I don't recall anybody asking if it was gang related.
